Lets say you bought 2000 shares at 258.75p (£5,175) and then took up the 9 for 1 rights issue at 6p a share (18,000 @ 6p = £1,080) then you would now have 20,000 shares at a cost of £6,255 but with a market value of £7,030 at close of play yesterday (20,000 x 35.15p) giving you a 12.39% increase in value over the space of around a year.
