well it may be old news four trading days old but it sure is good to see the company say full year profits will be WELL AHEAD OF EXPECTATIONS.gives medium to long tearm investers loads of confedence, and a large directer buy at 33.7
helps, let the trend be your friend.

Taffy

I am so fed up with the "sloppy journalism" that I have just emailed James Moore who edited that piece in the Independant with the points you raised and have asked

"Do you not consider 12.39% to be a good return in a year? As a shareholder I await your reply."

If I get a reply I will post it here.

The Independent should learn to do their sums properly:

Quote: "We last looked at Inchcape when we said sell at 258.75p, which now looks a very good call"

Not really. Lets say you bought 2000 shares at 258.75p (£5,175) and then took up the 9 for 1 rights issue at 6p a share (18,000 @ 6p = £1,080) then you would now have 20,000 shares at a cost of £6,255 but with a market value of £7,030 at close of play yesterday (20,000 x 35.15p) giving you a 12.39% increase in value over the space of around a year.

Sloppy journalism from a left wing rag.
