28/12/2010 12:54 | No broker has come out and said that. Most are in a wait and hold pattern and taking a breather after a good price run - i think Panmures may have downgraded from a buy to a hold but that is it. | alftupper

01/12/2010 22:39 | Of course if the sales of the iSYS system continue to grow and with increasing numbers of tests on board, then the competition might find it worthwhile to take IDS out with a knockout bid - suggest that would need to exceed £10 currently. Seems to me having originally invested in 2005 that management have hardly put a foot wrong so far, and I am sticking with them. I should say that I've already taken worthwhile profits off the table, some of which have gone into EKF Diagnostics which is in a similar field. | dozey1
01/12/2010 22:37 | Thanks a lot for your comments. Got to go- trying to get to Spain tomorrow am but will tune in from there late Thurs or Friday am from sunny Malaga. | philo124
01/12/2010 22:33 | One of the exciting things in the interims was the fact that only 14 machines have been sold into the States so far. The potential there must be enormous, given the way they are addicted to tests and FDA approval for additonal tests will surely follow. Its also encouraging that the manual tests seem to be growing stongly too, rather than fading away as IDH-ISYS grows. I think this company is more likely to continue to surprise on the upside than the downside. | pentangle
01/12/2010 22:19 | I am goping for 48p this year and 62p the next. Therefore they are on a forward P/E OF 15. Peg 0.5. | philo124
01/12/2010 21:17 | Have not seen any 2013 forecasts, but my guess would be about 80p or thereabouts too. They may be right about the competition intensifying, but meanwhile both the pace of sales of new machines is demonstrably increasing, whilst the battery of tests to be performed on the machines is also expanding. So for now at least all seems very positive. I think based on the 2012 forecasts, £12 next year should be on the cards ie 20 times current year earnings, dependent of course on market conditions. | pentangle
01/12/2010 20:01 | Thanks for the explanation of price fall today. I have a £12 target myself and i will cintue to hold and top up below £9. Brokers arn't always right, but their comments are useful. What are the 2013 eps forcast anyway 80p? | philo124
01/12/2010 19:49 | x Evening Euro Markets Bulletin ADVFN Newsdesk has under Broker Tips : Immunodiagnostic Systems (iSYS) has had a good run but Panmure Gordon observes that the stock has almost reached its target, and so downgrades the shares. The diagnostic testing kits supplier reported strong interim results Tuesday, significantly better than the broker's forecasts with earnings per share of 19.5p compared with the broker's estimate of 17.6p. The manual vitamin D testing revenues grew 35% to £13.5m and the growth is "consistent with market growth", the broker says, "as vitamin D testing continues to grow at a strong pace whilst there seems no end in sight of the emergence of more scientific data to link vitamin D to a myriad of diseases". Due to the low tax charge in the first half of 2011, the broker upgrades 2011 forecasts by 8%. However, due to increased competition to iSYS Panmure downgrades 2012 and 2013 estimates by 1% and 5% respectively. The target of 1,000p has been retained which, with the share price trading close to that level, makes the shares now a 'hold' rather than a 'buy' in Panmure Gordon's view. //////////////// //////////////// ///////////////// We have been enjoying a superb share price run , but this is the 2nd time now i am hearing of competition coming along ... Roche , Abbott Labs ?! ; anyone have any detail on when the competition will become effective , what they are offering etc ... cheers . Leoboy . | leoboy
30/11/2010 11:17 | Interims results to 30 Sept announced today look well in line with growth expectations. EPS growth of ca 50% and full current year PER of ca 20 gives low PEG of 0.4 with growth prospects looking good for at least next three years. | campbed

29/11/2010 10:35 | Phil - price monitoring extensions can occur when price volatility is high during auctions. During an auction (e.g. at close - 4.30 to 4.36) there's an algorithm which determines the price at which the majority of trades - limit or best - can be executed. If the demand to buy or sell is say 5% outside this determined price then a price monitoring extension allows time for market participants to add orders to "balance" the market. So if the price is moving strongly in one direction or another (high volatility) there is more chance of auctions being extended to determine the price of the security. IDH moved abruptly up in price triggering such auction extensions. | dasv
