23/6/2017 09:35 | ...especially speculative shorters... | sfj
23/6/2017 09:32 | That rally has sucked a lot in -ouch ! | mallorca 9
23/6/2017 09:26 | Maybe that early rally has sucked a lot of speculative buyers in and this may actually end the day red. | mallorca 9
23/6/2017 09:16 | I can't read what you're posting but I wish you well with your investment, whatever it may be :) | richardc77
23/6/2017 09:14 | A lot buying in though on speculation of a £500m offer ! | mallorca 9
23/6/2017 09:06 | The prime assets will be picked up for very little. The Company was already at a very high P/E before the Apple news. Now, rather than carry on as a going concern, the Directors have decided to sell for as much as they can get. The Co may be broken up. As yet there are NO bidders for anything. | mallorca 9
23/6/2017 08:59 | Because the fall will be very sharp. There may be no bids for the whole company. | mallorca 9
23/6/2017 08:57 | Yes it would be odd to be shorting right now, very odd, or foolish even. | richardc77
23/6/2017 08:56 | £500m is peanuts to some of the big players being mentioned regarding bids for IMG. | someuwin
23/6/2017 08:55 | Don't hold but I can't understand why anyone would short a stock where there are multiple bidders - takes all sorts | panic investor
22/6/2017 20:48 | It’s not about the profits, it’s about the technology and IP. Company’s like this have a history of selling a lot higher due the patents they hold and the rest. | pottsey
22/6/2017 20:42 | WE shall see - that values this non profit making Co that has just lost it's biggest customer, at circa £100m. A very generous valuation. | mallorca 9
22/6/2017 20:10 | Do you see dead people too? | bionicblabbermouth
22/6/2017 20:04 | I'm with sheephearder, nice to see someone with a sensible view, obviously based on some experience. Good luck to those who choose to hold. I have a hefty short position. It may take several months but I see this falling to below £100m MC so under 35p per share. | mallorca 9
22/6/2017 19:40 | I will be happy with 225p. BA | bullet ant
22/6/2017 17:08 | freddie ferret > "All a matter of price, but will it get back to £6?" Yes, I should think so. | rob_evans
22/6/2017 16:44 | All a matter of price, but will it get back to £6? | freddie ferret
22/6/2017 16:35 | "Which is why there is a good chance of the price going up. Many Chinese view PowerVR as high quality and due to being Japanese owned don’t like ARM. Plus IMG have a number of key IP areas that are ahead of ARM which will be of interest to a lot of other companies." Which is why there is a good chance of the price going up. Many Chinese and others view PowerVR as high quality and due to being Japanese owned don’t like ARM. Plus IMG have a number of key IP areas that are ahead of ARM which will be of interest to a lot of other companies. But there is no point arguing aver this, time will tell. The Tsinghua Unigroup has been given $22bn from the state, part of which is to buy up company’s like IMG to build an in-house tech empire to move away from ARM and Intel. The Chinese government have a goal to move away from dependence on foreign semiconductors and don't underestimate how much many Chinese hate Japanese/ARM. Going by the history of all the other GPU company’s that ended up for sale I expect IMG to be sold. | pottsey
22/6/2017 16:25 | I'm going to go with no sale for the whole group. They will come, look, and walk away. | sheep_herder
22/6/2017 16:10 | Think we'll see it go for £2 a share. | someuwin |
