...... Just passing through. As an IMG holder since their 17p days I regard the recent drop in price as a blip. My regards to JJ (and assorted aliases) hammerd/Dave Sweeney/someuwin etc. 200p by Xmas?

If people have moved to APPLE from IMG they went with knowledge of the IMG stuff and presumably that's why they were wanted. So what's the chances that patents have been infringed? GOOGLE and UBER are in litigation with only one guy going from GOOGLE. Interesting times share price aside. Maybe deep pockets are not needed if the case is good, as post above showed.

It's funny, pre Mondays announcement the short side on IMG was unusually low.

I think this is/was a positive for support now..

By the sound of Mallorca's desperation it seems that he's getting his balls busted as well!

Mallorca 9 "sell now this may fall very quickly". Are you qualified to dish out advice? On what basis do you make your advice, your short position most probably.

likely, but then a bounce to 150p means there is money to be made... decisions decisions

It may fall quickly, it may rise quickly.

Smart people don't care about the 'may', 'could', 'should'.

Any mug who opened a short yesterday is getting roasted. That's the fact.

Companies no longer need massively deep pockets to pursue claims against the taxman or patent infringement claims. The BIG FOUR accountancy firms will take on winnable cases on a no-win no-fee basis. Many law firms specialise in this.It will be a very long process though as wins result in appeals. For example, Sportech (SPO) didn't have much money but took on Seagate in the 1990's with financial help and won (Sportech was then Rodime). Over the past 8 years Sportech has taken on the Inland Revenue and won 97 million (taken by IRD up to the Supreme Court). All this was achieved by third-party sponsors on no-fee basis.Point is, you need a sound case and not deep pockets. If you don't have a very strong case then forget it.

Can only be because of the ARM story.

Orkney,

the share price is purely speculative.
Fundamentals will prevail.

Mallorca 9, "now losing half its revenue". Not yet, at least 15 months to get to that level. There is no reason why img cannot make up some of this future lost revenue by generating replacement business.

Mister MD,An share price is obviously based on the future forecast rather than the past. The recent news may have turned history and forecasts on its head - or may not depending on Apple's development over the next 12-18 months. My point though is in the value of IMG on the global open market. The old guard at IMG will resist any overseas buyer.

£300m market cap.
Making around £5m per year profit with £40m net debt !
Now losing half it's revenue

114p/76p = exactly 50% bounce from the low. Is that the end of the dead cat bounce or is there more to come ..... ?!

Nod I was referring to marketcap compared to losses and 40m net debt etc etc

Hi Mister MD, Are you saying that the share price last week factored in a very long-term commitment by Apple. For example, an expectation of steadily growing revenues from Apple for the next five or ten years?
