Surely the most iniquitous point ( amongst many ) is that over the last 10 yrs + , Apple have encouraged , almost insisted or directed IMG to be a one trick pony , viz their draconian NDA's etc .
I would assume that if Apple having pulled the rug out and smashed the share price
now put in a low ball bid , this would be illegal under corporate law . It would certainly be immoral and akin to toying with a long time lover , encouraging them to believe the question was imminent then dumping them !
A very large , foolish , VLTH.
Commiserations to all and to all the hardworking and innovative staff
whose livelihoods Apple are playing with .

At the end of the day, if you have too fewer suppliers you are at risk.

They needed to diversify from day dot.

Apple wanted to buy them, they were greedy I suspect. Still time will tell.

I was lucky enough to have made a bit of profit on the 'dead cat bounce' here, but it does look extremely risky - any chance of Apple making a a statement to the market?

Net debt £40m !!!

Think the bank may soon be all over this too.

Absolutely definite short with a long way to fall.

Richard , cut your losses. You really could lose all on this one.

I think the lows were yesterday, so don't see it as a realistic short, but thanks for the suggestion. As ever people talk up the fall or the rise, but I have a level head.

If I could have shorted last Friday, well that's another matter ;)

Sorry for all holders here.
Hard to see a market cap value more than £30m though.
So share price may well fall to around 20p.
Richardc - could be worth shorting this via a spread bet to recover some losses.

Well i'm still holding (no point in exiting here, after the event) but totally understand why some large PI's gave up. What a mess IMG have made of the past few years. Still I believe it will get picked off on the cheap, £1.50-2.00, is my target for a long goodbye ;) Seen this IMG cycle so many times I have lost count!

I think we could drift to 60p over next few weeks as they hardly have any cash and totally rely on appleFor revenue . They can't even afford legal action . Look like the end of the road shame

Interesting lateral thought maybe?

If an employee leave a company and is working on a product at the new co there can be patent issues such as in the link for GOOGLE and UBER where it is claimed the individual left GOOGLE and used its IP elsewhere.

Thing is, this was WAY overvalued before the news. The large market cap relative to performance was due to the association & business with Apple. And now that is very likely to be lost ...
