19/9/2013 09:19 | No Patents, No I.P as far as im aware. | bidster777
19/9/2013 08:49 | I suspect what they will do is have a small placing of say a couple of hundred thousand that way they keep costs down and reduce the dilution. A rights issue would be catastrophic. Cannot help but think these type companies should be supported by the banks with easy loans at these interest rates plenty of scope for gearing. | amt
19/9/2013 08:40 | This statment from last results do make me a bit nervous. And will there be a placing. However, the loss in the period coupled with the need to build for stock has made cash flow management challenging. The Board is actively looking at ways to provide further working capital to properly develop the business and to fund new product development. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ian Johnson, who is standing down from the Board as of today, for over 11 years of invaluable service to the Company." | curlly
19/9/2013 08:36 | Their o/d Facility for £100k will help and NW should be able to increase this for specific large orders, as well. Plus invoice discounting and plenty of other options these days if the bank won't bend. | philjeans
19/9/2013 08:18 | thanks mjcrockett - tempted to top up but have a nagging doubt. Ok took the plunge at 5p based on the idea that if they can fund these orders then a market cap of £2.5m is too low by a factor of 3 or 4. | amt
19/9/2013 07:59 | amt, the point regarding financing new orders was discussed on this board a few months ago - see post 4278 onwards. The point was made then that Image Scan usually structure orders so that a substantial part of the monies due are paid early on. This has been the case with recent orders. | mjcrockett
18/9/2013 21:44 | Trouble is how are they going to finance the new orders, they had virtually no cash left at year end. A rights issue would dilute existing shareholders hugely which is a pity. | amt

18/9/2013 18:59 | Assagai, I would be surprised to see this year's turnover matching last year's. In the year to sept 2012 turnover was £4.3 million. At the time of this year's interims the Chairman was indicating that £2.3 million will be deliverable in the current year - see the outlook statement at Since then the company has announced new orders of £850,000 but there was no indication as to how much (if any) of these orders would be delivered before the September year end. I believe that the improving order position is encouraging but I am not expecting this to show through in the 2013 figures. Hopefully the end year trading update will give further good news on orders for 2014. | mjcrockett
18/9/2013 16:44 | Hi EG . well I take your point but the scenario has changed since the shares reached 34p. Yes there has been some dilution but the turnover and profits were never this high. I do believe it is going through a re-rating but that will only be maintained if the trading update is positive. Even if they only match last year's turnover the profit should be higher due to lower R&d in the period. | assagai
18/9/2013 16:04 | 27% up - 5p will be hit today at this rate | tomboyb
18/9/2013 15:40 | Buying at full quote - 2v1 | tomboyb
18/9/2013 14:25 | 300K shares traded here so far today - up 17% So approx £14k worth! Just imagine how this will perform when we get a tip and some serious buying! Multi-bagger in the making. | philjeans
18/9/2013 13:03 | Depends entirely on next set of results. If they can maintain/improve last years level that will prove they are viable. Still very illiquid but that is slowly changing. They were 15p on less than half current t/o a few years back. The market has become impatient/bored with IGE but in all fairness they have managed cash well and grown organically in difficult times. The last RNS concerning a gold mine placement was very interesting and a new direction. I am hopeful that with decent PR and progress they may return to 15p which is not unrealistic compared to other tech cos in a growth phase. Ps Don't feel too sorry for me I've kept the faith with this and carried on adding down to 1.5p so my average ain't that bad! | assagai
18/9/2013 12:50 | sorry to hear that Assagai, what are your projections for the next 6 months + for this co? | euclid5
18/9/2013 12:42 | I remember sticking in a £100k in a placing a few years back......at 15p. OUCH | assagai
18/9/2013 12:26 | Erogenous - if I can call u that I can't actually remember seeing a 4p bid hence my time has been shorter here but still quite some time - | tomboyb
