24/8/2022 12:58 | So J P Morgan now notionally has 5% in the form of a swap. This won't actually be for them though, it will be for a "client". I reckon the company could be in play (once we get the official "Fracking is on" announcement from the new PM). | mattybuoy
23/8/2022 14:42 | IGas has revealed proposals for a new oil production site in Lincolnshire, which it says could extract 90,000 tonnes a year but officials have said a detailed environmental study is not needed. | barrelman
23/8/2022 10:47 | After a few days of consolidation, that looks very much like a cup and handle forming. I'm not usually interested in chartism but at these levels, sentiment definitely plays more of a role. With Odey still investing, I'd expect it to be the next leg up. | hairballradical
20/8/2022 14:11 | Thanks for that varies. I didn't realise that Cuadrilla was investable. Cool. | mattybuoy
20/8/2022 12:43 | PS. I have just watched the recent Pro-active presentation produced when the share price was 35p. It is interesting to compare IGAs as a shale stock with A J Lucas, the owner of Cuadrilla(ASX : AJL). Cuadrilla's UK best shale prospects are in the Blackpool/Preston area whereas those of IGAS are in the Midlands and South Yorkshire. Cuadrilla asserts that it has up to 37.6 Tcm of gas resources of which 10% would supply the UK's needs for 50 years; a study by Nottingham University reduces this by 80% but it is still an enormous amount of gas. IGAS claims that it could supply over 3 million households with its shale gas. A J Lucas has large debts and its main operations are in drilling services for companies mining metallurgical coal in Australia. Curiously enough, Kerogen owns 65% of A J Lucas and 28% of IGAS. | varies
20/8/2022 11:46 | I enjoyed the GB News hustings yesterday, especially the intervention of an enthusiast for fracking. He asserted in a question to Mrs Truss that there was enough gas a mile below the surface in Lancashire to supply the whole country for years. Whether this is so cannot yet be ascertained but she answered that she would be in favour of fracking if it had the approval of the local inhabitants. It may be that this exchange, broadcast at 7pm but perhaps recorded earlier, was responsible for yesterday's price recovery in IGAS shares. I sold mine at an average of 78p last week but am watching this space carefully with a view to buying them back cheaper if the opportunity occurs. | varies
19/8/2022 18:11 | UK fracking was already highly regulated for that issue..Hardly any but the most benign chemicals are used here. And the fracking depth is limited to avoid potential contaminations to acquirers, along with extensive seismic to avoid any faults that might join things up.But yes US poisons people | officerdigby
19/8/2022 17:10 | Why dont they just ban the use of certain chemicals when they frack? Our government are slower than trigger from OFAHs.This article is not gonna help.https://pubs.ac | svenice7
18/8/2022 18:58 | Hopefully Kwarteng will get the boot as soon as Truss is PM, as well as all the greeny Westminster policy staff. | svenice7
18/8/2022 08:41 | Truss is going cold on the idea. Just saying what she thinks people want to hear. | angus17
17/8/2022 11:51 | With natural gas prices hitting 14 year highs again, news constantly talking about energy and living crisis and truss coming in , can't imagine any sell off being big, it will mostly be buys. | svenice7
17/8/2022 09:51 | Ha! No....bought a few more than that yesterday on that drop. Seemed a brutal drop but not complaining! | con90210
