10/6/2022 11:37 | Kulvinder. Post 412 "problems arose due to components stuck in US west coast ports. IGR had to pay a premium to get them out of the port and a staff overtime premium to get them combined to get them out to stores. IGR said they overspent to keep their customers happy." Wiped out profits. 500p was based on growth strategy. Organic and bolt on. IGR bought CSS. CEO and FD sold shares and have subsequently left. Bolt on acquisitions now unlikely due to low value of stock and changes in working capital requirements. Organic growth still possible subject to macro economy. No longer the same growth story. Now a recovery stock. Led to change of investor profile. Increased costs will take a few years to pass onto customers. Cost of working capital requirements will come from any profits. Review of US business including CSS may result in write downs. Margins and dividend going to take a couple of years to recover. | darrin1471

09/6/2022 09:28 | bwana4/Deanowls I am not aware of them sitting on stock missed at xmas. My understanding is that IGR import components of the final retail product. They combine the components with their fancy packaging and then combine multiple products onto a single mechanising unit which is then shipped to store. The stores then just open the merchandising unit and sell directly from it. US problems arose due to components stuck in US west coast ports. IGR had to pay a premium to get them out of the port and a staff overtime premium to get them combined to get them out to stores. IGR said they overspent to keep their customers happy and sell through was good. I have speculated that there may be historic stock from the CSS purchase that may need to be written down in the final results. It is also possible that some IGR components arrived too late to be added to the merchandising units but this again is only speculation by myself. My understanding is that extra liquidity is needed to fund the components coming in earlier this year. Preventing the extra port transportation and overtime costs. With container shipping prices being high, IGR may be assembling more merchandising units in the destination countries as shipping air is expensive. Margins are tight and volumes are big so it may take a few years for margins to recover and working capital costs to be reduced. All the above appears priced in. Funding has now been secured but it is an additional cost to be taken from the small profits. I bought in at end of April and May. A safer option would have been to wait until June 28th for the final results and for the review of the business. | darrin1471

08/6/2022 06:27 | It has a large build of stock, a lot that is seasonal that requires warehouse cost. This is a result of them getting it in late last year and missing mainly Christmas. That should unwind towards the back end of the year and ease issues with cash flow. Logistics and pass through of costs need to be managed along with aligning all of the territories and businesses. Lots for them to do but a brighter way ahead I feel. It was way over valued at 6 quid so don’t fixate on that. Get sorted, cash coming in, stock holding right and back to 2 quid and reasses. | deanowls
07/6/2022 23:28 | IGR , most viewed company | blackhorse23
07/6/2022 20:05 | Blackhorse 23. This Co. can't pay a dividend until they have the permission of the money lender. | bwana4
07/6/2022 18:59 | I am happy with my investment with IGR , taking consideration of its huge revenues of 963 millions against small mcap & opportunity to grow , it's an opportunity for me to buy & hold , it will be skyrocket at no time. Company always pays dividend , could turn around towards big profits | blackhorse23 |
