19/3/2020 11:17 | in fact as newsagents sell sweets and now wine perhaps they might be allowed to open . Depends on how the law is drafted . If it says supermarkets they will not . | haroldthegreat
19/3/2020 11:14 | the problem is if the government closes all non food outlets eg news agents ,card shops and gift shops the demand for cards will switch to supermarkets and pharmacies who probably do not deal with this company. So sales decline will not be because of a supply problem but a demand problem . their customers will not be trading . the demand for cards will still exist but there will be a drastic shift in where the customer buys them . if Marks have a food department in a store will the whole store be allowed to open ? I hate sending electronic cards but will now do so and apologise to recipient for having done so . Having done it once I might continue doing so . independent card manufacturers will do well who supply pharmacies . | haroldthegreat
19/3/2020 07:46 | Walmart stores are now so busy in US that are having to close between 11pm - 7am to allow restocking and cleaning. Used to be open 24/7. | ottrott
17/3/2020 13:11 | Quality has nothing to do with it. I sold everything. Once the experts say hold it will recover its time to get out. The knock on effects are going to be very very bad. | petes5
17/3/2020 13:08 | Quite unbelievable price action over the last few days for such a quality co. Luckily I sold over 3 weeks ago | ihatemms

13/2/2020 11:01 | A mention in Shares today after they contacted IGR re China:- "...immediate effects are negligible as vendor manufacturing and dispatches will ordinarily be minimal in the couple of weeks immediately following Chinese New Year..." Not so long back there was mention of switching some production to the US due to tariffs, also there are production facilities in the UK and Holland so I guess there are options if the virus outbreak position becomes more serious to manufacturing in China though as IGR say "naturally the company is monitoring developments closely" | jeff h
05/2/2020 08:27 | If you look at the chart above you will see that the recent fall is well in line with previous variability, which often corrected itself very quickly. I can say that I'm a long-time holder and it is more than a ten-bagger for me, but having taken some profits on the way up. | nocton
04/2/2020 10:21 | I decided to sell given IGR's exposure to China via their Chinese manufacturing and a general coronavirus-inspired slowdown. It's been a great run (a two bagger or so - much less than some here of course!) - so there's an element of protecting profits. But whilst there may not be too much short-term upside given the high rating, a mis-step may lead to a sizeable pullback. It's a great company though, so I may well be back at the right price and may equally be wrong to have sold! | rivaldo

24/1/2020 14:49 | I’m interested in hearing what the people on this board think are some realistic predictions for IGR a year from now? 3 years? 5 years? Thank you and have a great weekend! | refillmore
24/1/2020 08:34 | "I wish it would transfer to the main market. That would be substantial icing on the cake." No, I would not like that and it probably would not change the share price. IGR, like several other large cos on AIM e.g. Dart Group, is popular with private investors who wish to minimise IHT and similarly with those investment firms, like Octopus, who invest in AIM cos for clients for the same reason. I have a large AIM portfolio and it is not so easy to find good growth shares. IGR, Dart and Churchill China are three that fit the bill. If IGR were to leave AIM then I would need to sell it and find another AIM share to replace it. | nocton

23/1/2020 12:47 | Here's the IC's Buy tip.... "IG Design (IGR) is betting on the US. More than a year after its acquisition of Impact Innovations, which doubled the size of its business in the country, the group has once again inked a deal to build out its presence in North America, doubling it once again. The group will buy CSS industries for $9.40 (£7.20) per share, representing an enterprise value of roughly £89.7m. The deal will “substantially IC View Investors welcomed news of the deal, sending shares in IG up 8 per cent following the announcement. Management had flagged it was looking at US acquisition opportunities, and more may be forthcoming. The group’s last US acquisition was a key part of our buy case for the shares, and a second deal strengthens our conviction. Buy at 742p." | rivaldo
