I only got back from hols yesterday but the price was good and I dislike IGG's trading pattern, that said I'll buy back if I see significant downside in the coming days.

Closing price looks like a respectable response to today's update, £7 next week?

IG charge nearly 3% for CFDs. Too expensive.

Guess it's sensitivity to rising interest rates - like watch the leverage come down

[ddubzy: DOWN....WTF!]

Short term share prices move randomly and unpredictabley and do not necessarily follow a logical reaction to news.

Still being traded down imo, one hope is that whoever is selling starts to buy back as the dividend date approaches.

It remains wary of the impact of tighter regulation on retail trading, noting:

Although none of the recently announced regulatory changes have adversely impacted the business to date, as previously noted, the nature and timing of potential regulatory changes in the UK and some other key markets for the Group remain uncertain. It is therefore difficult to predict what impact, if any, regulatory change may have on the Group this financial year and beyond.

IG don't target the leisure market. They're focusing on the high rollers who sticky, only 9% of the total client base, but generate 80% profits.

That's another reason why clients are down by 10% but the average revenue per client is up 23% in the UK

A few Questions
How much of this has been bitcoin?
Are you getting more Chinese people on board?
The Chinese are a really good market because
a. there lots of them.
b. they like gambling
There are lots of Chinese here, say in places like Cambridge.
Which goes on to another market: Students.
Students have lots of disposable money.
Students are compulsive gamblers too, and no responsibilities.
IG should offer a student discount
That'd get them onboard in droves
The referendum that was a gamblers dream
Was the ultimate bet: Red or Black

Looks good to me, the mention of reduced numbers, though explained away as being referendum related, may put some off but as you say, 21% IS QUITE IMPRESSIVE.

Time for those that have been selling it down to reverse their position imo.

I don't doubt the market will focus on this bit:-

Client numbers in the UK were, as expected, lower than in the equivalent quarter in the prior year due to the particularly strong new client inflow in the prior period reflecting the short-term trading opportunities created by the EU referendum in June 2016.

.....and the regulatory flux......

Simply on a 30% to 40% discount because of regulatory fears.

21% YOY revenue growth - seems exceptional to me. Can't think of too many businesses showing this type of growth level. Let's see what happens at 8am.
