15/12/2022 17:53 | This seems to be drifting back a little more quickly than I expected, especially given the buy backs. When is the next update? You still here, gbh2, or did you get your target price? | lovewinshatelosses
06/12/2022 09:13 | Yep. I should have concentrated on what I was doing rather than trying to get the best price for a few more :) | gbh2
06/12/2022 09:07 | The traditional notation would be £8.11 or 811p. If this was trading at 8.11p I might be concerned | rik shaw
06/12/2022 08:19 | EDIT: £8.43 down to £8.08 in a week. | gbh2
02/12/2022 17:27 | Always on their backs:Https://www.th | disc0dave45
25/11/2022 10:24 | Yep. We have seen this playbook before. Many, many times. | lovewinshatelosses
25/11/2022 09:51 | First to agree with that - which will probably then lead to a call for more regulatory clampdowns. Obviously if the Government saw investing as a good thing rather than a piggy bank then this could all be avoided. | nk104
24/11/2022 17:30 | I did not consider that prospect, NK. Assuming those financial instruments avoid being soaked as well. If it leads to a number of ordinary investors getting involved in CFD's and spread bets...that will be a disaster IMO. For the individuals anyway. | lovewinshatelosses
24/11/2022 13:33 | If anything, the reduction in the CGT allowance and the tightening limits on tax free dividends might push people towards CFDs and spread bets. | nk104
22/11/2022 17:49 | It would be hard to tell the difference these days, gbh2. Maybe Labour would be slightly less corrupt, although no less incompetent IMO....then again, if you look at some of the red councils today...hard to tell the difference on this front either. The stand out one I have read about is a city that seems to have more Mayors than I have had hot dinners. It is also one of the poorer ones in the UK. It has a 200 million GBP black hole in its finances and its most recent mayor has been personally bankrupt twice. The last one...also has an interesting history, to say the least. As safe a Labour seat as you can imagine, in spite of this litany of shame and failure. I mention this only to be fair, as most of my rants are directed at the (Tory in name only) government. I would not want anyone to mistakenly think I felt any optimism whatsoever in the other options. | lovewinshatelosses
22/11/2022 08:06 | "Only a matter of time before they start putting caps on tax free ISA holdings IMO" This will come with the next Labour Government imo. | gbh2
21/11/2022 22:27 | Sounds like you have it all in hand, Adam. GrowthPotential: In that case, perhaps think about adding a few more if you have that long term plan and we revisit 750-ish on no company specific news. tuftymatt: Well done on getting your target price. ISA does feel the best place for these, given the government's current dislike of middle income people trying to get above their station. Only a matter of time before they start putting caps on tax free ISA holdings IMO, but hopefully I am wrong. GLA and from a selfish perspective, I hope to get the opportunity to become a holder here again one day. As said before, my exit was not company-specific. | lovewinshatelosses
21/11/2022 22:13 | Appreciate the views. I was considering adding to the midcap part of my SIPP, which is generally long term holds and where I try not to trade much at all. Therefore I look for consistent performers at reasonable prices, which I think this looks like. Understand the comment about cash balance lovewinshatelosses though in my SIPP I tend to be 95%-100% invested. My more speculative accounts are in the 60%-70% invested level at the moment Thanks for the comments all (and nice to find a sensible board here too!) Adam | adamb1978
21/11/2022 16:47 | Well my sell order was hit so I am pleased about that. Will add again when I feel the time is right and in my ISA too as some of my sell was in a GIA so not the best place for money now!! Good luck all 👍🏻 | tuftymatt
21/11/2022 12:58 | With only 334 shares, might as well just hold forever... | growthpotential
19/11/2022 23:05 | For me the answer to Adam's question is yes it's the economic outlook. I think we may be on a bear market rally and it could come off so I am looking at a number of profitable positions with a view of taking some money from them. Nothing wrong in my mind with IGG itself and good luck to all current and future holders 👍🏻 | tuftymatt
19/11/2022 22:37 | I have no concerns with IGG. Personally this is one of my less risky investments compared to other more speculative trades! | growthpotential
19/11/2022 17:03 | I'm not a holder but looking at this recently. I'd be interested in the reasoning behind the posters above saying that they've been offloading recently. PE is only 9x, yield over 5%, high ROCE business...intereste Thanks | adamb1978
18/11/2022 13:34 | Good luck. With the share buy backs, you should get it hopefully. Then equally hopefully, we both can get the chance to buy them back cheaper before too long :) | lovewinshatelosses
18/11/2022 12:06 | Missed 820+ just now so have a partial sell order in at 825. | tuftymatt
17/11/2022 11:53 | Did mine in tranches around 815p the other day, but would not be at all surprised if yours was the smarter decision! FWIW, I certainly hope I do get the chance to return. This has been a consistently profitable holding for me and IMO is a terrific company. It will remain firmly on my radar. Good luck tuftymatt and other holders. | lovewinshatelosses
17/11/2022 10:42 | Was considering a similar move myself at 820 earlier in the week but held firm. Not so sure I would do the same again though if it runs another 20p. Good luck and enjoy the profit 👍🏻 | tuftymatt
17/11/2022 10:19 | Fully out now. Still a big fan of this company and my decision was not fundamentals-driven. Will buy back in if I get the chance around 750, but if that chance does not happen, GLA. | lovewinshatelosses |
