Yes, there's always some that bag a bargain... and some that watch as the boat sails.

Will buy more, but will wait to see if I can get them lower, say 500-510.

carlsagan1 -

Had same experience as you but with Brearley, who suddenly upped charges to £200 p.a.!
Moved to Jarvis-XO who have no platform charges on execution only. No complaints so far...

hope this helps

Up over 8% at the mo so someone's been buying or on the other hand our friends the MMs are playing games. Any guesses which or other reasons?

Taken in context of where the mkt cap was, though, this is better than expected for me; no-one takes forecasts too seriously.

LOL, the profits warning is not very well disguised. They could have at least have had the decency to state that they were going to miss market expectations.

Eps circa 42p but split 1H 25p and 2H 17p (based on 2H TS Op Prof)

There is no such game that Fund Managers play

Sounds like a profit warning in disguise?

Agree the divi isn't covered at this level but I get an EPS of 41p for 2019 based on Op profit and shares in issue. They have reiterated a commitment to the divi again this morning, and in the strategy update, so that should provide some support to the share price.

Will be interesting to see how the market reacts.

Profitability seems a lot lower than consensus, if the £239 million pre-tax profit indicated in Company REFS (supposedly 2 analysts, as of 13 April) is reasonably accurate. That equated to EPS of 53.2p versus DPS of 43.2p, so with the dividend maintained the implication of £190 million operating profit for the year closing, is the dividend uncovered by earnings. Stab guess EPS around 33p.

Doesn't appear to be any surprises, just a case of whether the Fund managers want to hold for dividends or play the Sell on ex divi date game.

Liking the strategy & business update too..good to have a plan & a forecasted return to growth!
Nothing that bad here, certainly nothing which wasn't expected..dividend kept at the current price..liking it!
If they do as they say and return to growth quickly then this will prove to be an excellent investment :-)

Expect a rally here today after that TU. Still think PLUS is by far the better play due to ridiculously low PE of 5 whilst this is 10. DYOR

ii have decided to up there fees again, broker cannot sit still for 5 minutes, time I left them. They now want me to pay £9.99 a month even if I dont trade!

Any recommendations?

I am considering going to iweb-sharedealing(Halifax) for a fixed £5 a trade or X-O(Jarvis) for £5.95, neither have monthly, yearly, or inactivity fees like ii

Worst possible update pretty much priced in at this level so anything like average or decent update should see a respectable recovery IMO

I agree - It has been falling steadily for a while and I would hope the trading update tomorrow would change this but sentiment seems to be elsewhere

I reckon there will be an increase in trades & profit during the last three weeks for IG with the markets being volatile & the Crypto currencies having a comeback.
At under 500p from a high of 900p I reckon all the negative news is factored in & the sellers are becoming exhausted.
I’ve been buying heavily under 500p..Wednesday morning we will get an update & hopefully the markets reaction will be positive 👍🏻👍🏻
