19/1/2024 22:05 | When it comes to deliveries and compensation then RM are the best | encarter
19/1/2024 15:59 | How many who need to make an appointment have a pc, internet at home? Log in? Or use a smart phone? Those most likely to need an appointment are the elderly, many of whom are wary of technology. I myself get texts from GP but Ive had no need to book an appointment in decades, thankfully. Easier to go to A&E yes. Hence overloaded. Many are generally unhealthy / hypochondriacs too! (The younger ones generally) We , as a nation, are far less hardy than we were 40 years ago | geckotheglorious
19/1/2024 15:49 | You have to log in to their site and make an appointment to get them to call YOU. Only then will they consider an appointment of which I have not had one for years due to the crazy, slow, almost pointless system. This is why so many just go to the Hospitals and why they are so overloaded. | isis
19/1/2024 15:43 | ISIS Have you tried calling your GP over the last year. You'd be on the phone for an hour at least trying to confirm any appointment - that's if you even knew you had one!!!! | geckotheglorious
19/1/2024 15:39 | The other ridiculous claim from people is that they are not getting their Hospital/Doctor appointment Letters on time. So are they saying that they write to their Doctors and Hospitals to get an appointment and then wait for a Letter to come back to confirm? Laughable of course they don't - they ring them up, email or may even go up there but you can be sure they do FA by Post. Just a load of whinging to keep an archaic system going at tremendous cost and the media to play on. | isis
19/1/2024 12:03 | I know it is the individual Employee who is at fault but the audacity to play the same trick 2 days running really riled me! And after the Evri loss I was taking no chances with expensive items. The feking Cheek of it! This is a no through Road so there's no way in or out without seeing them! | isis
19/1/2024 11:58 | This Government are not listening to it's voters, Business Leaders or RM on any common sense issue at all. Sunak couldn't run a Sweet Shop let alone a Country they are on their way to a Wipe out! | isis
19/1/2024 11:56 | Can't say I've ever had that with RM ever and most parcels I've had come via them. A Hermes delivery from last year was taken from the Door as no notification or door Bell - was never compensated. Lucky wasn't a large amount. RM do not deliver unless Consignee is there from my experience if it won't go through Letter Box. | isis
19/1/2024 11:43 | Yep. I've had that many times too. Usually with yodel or hermes. It's like when bus companies remove a bus from finishing it's whole journey... it helps with statistically meeting service targets.... and so, probably end of year bonuses too | casholaa
19/1/2024 11:39 | Isis to be fair, Royal Mail often do similar. Sometimes parcels are scanned as delivered but not actually delivered (I'm guessing when they don't have the resources to deliver) but in every case I've seen, the parcel was always delivered the next day. | 31337 c0d3r
18/1/2024 16:36 | Letter volumes down 31% on pre-pandemic levels. Revenues from letters rose 11.8% thanks to rising stamp prices, but inflation and pay awards have pushed up costs. The posties also appear not to have hit their 'national' target and did not get the £500 bonus but, did get £250. | mouse_of_wallst
18/1/2024 14:53 | Isis, the ball and chain that Royal Mail has to drag around is a wonderful illustration of the wilful incompetence/ignoran | lefrene
18/1/2024 14:42 | Not a bad set of figures at all really. Let's hope we can slowly build up towards 280 again and then have a crack at 300 in 2024. Good luck all 👍🏻 | tuftymatt
18/1/2024 14:38 | No comment, as paranoia has set in for me. | casholaa
16/1/2024 08:53 | Just read some of Blackhorse23 posts. I see what you mean. Thanks for the heads up freddie. NMRN | not my real name
15/1/2024 20:48 | Nobody across the whole of ADVFN takes Blackhorse23 seriously. | freddie01
15/1/2024 18:50 | Blackhorse23, "Buying target below 100p" -------------------- RM could cease trading tomorrow due to a plague descending and killing all employees at the same time as alien invaders, employed as mercenaries by Jeff Bezos, destroy the entire infrastructure of GLS using their death rays and the assets would still be worth more than a quid a share! Dream on my friend. After the Xmas period we just had I reckon all the latest sellers will be crying into the last of their leftover turkey curry when the results are released on 8 Feb. Bring it on! All IMHO, NMRN | not my real name
15/1/2024 13:44 | Buying target below 100p . Meantime added GNC & APH | blackhorse23
11/1/2024 15:46 | Looks like everyone was to blame along the line. Labour sanctioned it in the first place, has been going on nearly 25 years!! | isis
11/1/2024 15:41 | Why are they not being held to account?? Fujitsu Horizon was developed by Fujitsu, and the new computer accounting system was first used by the Post Office in 1999 | isis
09/1/2024 20:03 | No good for post offices. https://amp.theguard | blackhorse23 |
