I will take that as a compliment ;-) Just trying to present the facts that have been put in the public domain. Debt - inhouse, consolidation of data center estate etc. And of course the longer term intention of Smith to build MXLG - whuch may include IDE. Anyhow enough from me - have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Growing it in a way that's even remotely enough to make an impact of the debt pile is not realistic in 4.5 years, they've been trying for years but shrinking instead, and the general economic situation is awful. They have opportunities but nothing that's going to pay off tens of millions.

That means it's going to be rolled over and increased further.

Finding a buyer with very deep pockets willing to take on/pay off the debt is the only option here, but no-one is springing to mind.

Don't forget this post from early covid from IDE - As we support the Ministry of Justice, Department for Work and Pensions, National Grid and various public and private hospitals (including 35 hospitals for Nuffield Health) and we are an IT services operation, we believe we are well within government guidelines, so we will endeavor to be fully operational as a company.

By growing the business and then selling it?

No-one here wants them to succeed more than I do, but you haven't answered the point of how exactly the share price is going to rise when there's an ever increasing debt pile.

With a due respect i totally disagree with you. They are not holding out for the loan notes they need the equity to work for them as well.

So when MXC's loan notes get to say, £22M, and IDE is therefore over £22M in debt, how's that share price going to look? MXC will roll it over and let it keep growing.

Until they say something publicly about it, we can only assume that the debt is going to increase exponentially until administration and MXC wipes out the shareholders.

Its my understanding that Smith needs 8 p plus for him to recoup his losses. Thats alongside his loan notes doubling in value over the 6 year term. The data center consolidation will pay dividends and they have their own mpls network and datacenter. They've bought Nimoveri so as to acquire the skills of Adam Eaton - who, lets not forget, was with Equinix for many years and probably is now past his non compete clause. I havent written this off at all - I know the share price is grim at the moment but dont forget Finncap are not issuing guidance yet.

MXC want out in 5 years, there's zero chance IDE will generate the level of profit required to pay it off or make anything other than a small dent in it.

The share price won't rise significantly allowing MXC to sell their 43% until the debt (to themselves) is cleared or they're making a good enough profit, so what's the play here?

No-one in their right mind would buy IDE in it's current state for any more than the current valuation, and they have no significant assets. Their network is good but wouldn't be hard to replicate.

I have a decent holding here, but have basically written it off.

In 4 1/2 years plus? Not a problem - more the case is to how much they'll be taken over for within a couple of years - for Smith et al has to be 8p +

i agree - the half glass empty in me thinks its a big sell but would have thought the 'ask' would have come down significantly. Massive spread so G knows.....

Some big trades could be printed soon...someone probably dumping a huge amount of stock. I'd have happily had that 9M shares the other day at the price it went for, any idea where to get them at that price?!

Agree with you AgedMan, it seems odd. I wondered whether there may be a large order being matched and not yet reported. I bought here on Monday and didn't manage to find my trades recorded anywhere, but maybe it's a case of not knowing where to look.

Anyone got a view as to these price auctions? They seem odd on a day of no trades/ news. (ok -100k shares on Aquis)
