Fair point Tourensol. So to P1+P2 Reserves , which at 133MMBOE , would also appear to significantly undervalue the company , particularly with an oil bias to the reserves. At a stingy $3/BB we're 100% undervalued.

Highly geared

P/E is not a meaningful ratio for an extractive industry. In effect I3E is converting assets in the ground into cash. The appropriate measure of its value is the market value of its assets NOT the amount of cash realised recently.

Based on the 16th August Financial and Operational update, 2022 NOI is forecast at c. $95 Million. Deducting a further c. $5 million for G&A, this provides for operational earnings at around £65 million (using GBP/$ exchange of 1.38).

This provides for a forward PE of <2 !

Am I missing something? On this basis , we're undervalued by a factor of 3-4.

I've got to say I'm somewhat surprised the share price hasn't kicked on after the questor tip and how undervalued this company is on any yardstick. I await the interims with some interest to see just where we're at financially and of course ongoing Ops and div news. Think we need a catalyst to push on through this persistent churn which is clearly weighing on the share price!

Another catalyst.http://uk.investing.com/analysis/chart-of-the-day-crude-oil-poised-for-big-move-200496153Oil prices have been all over the place recently. On Thursday, for example, WTI initially slumped by more than $1 on news China released some of its strategic crude reserves in an unprecedented intervention in the oil market. But then it made back all of those losses as the US reported a record crude production plunge and a sizeable drawdown in gasoline stocks...before turning lower again late in the day. After Thursday's drop, crude oil prices have rebounded in the first half of today's session, along with some of the other risk assets. But as has become a trend for many markets, the second half of today's session could be completely different.

Highly Geared, I think your revenue estimate for the additional 500 bpd (these are oil primarily) is low by at least a factor of 10.

Relatively small stuff in today’s RNS but adding c. 500 BOEPD is not to be sniffed at. It should add in excess of $500k per annum to revenue with minimal Capex and ongoing Opex. Developing lots of guaranteed of low impact wells for minimal expenditure is a good way to go with energy prices elevated as the ESG movement reverses oil development and squeezes conventional energy costs higher.

Meanwhile , China expands its EV programme, powered by coal!
