People completely missing that a 30-50% drop in share price in a few days does not happen unless masses of people understand that the risk profile has changed. I havent got skin in the game short or long but clearly the preliminary result was not good news. Price drop possibly overdone but also strong chance that insiders bailing for a reason DYOR

i3 Energy (i3E) â€" Corporate â€" Preliminary A2 Well ResultMarket Cap £31M Share Price 28.8pi3 Energy announced yesterday at 16:20 that the appraisal well drilling the A2 structure of the Liberator oilfield penetrated 20 feet of interpreted oil column. The company will now undertake a wireline analysis to further evaluate the well result. The indicated 20 feet is consistent with the oil column of the Liberator discovery well (drilled in 2013) and we had expected materially more oil column from the A2 appraisal well, which targeted a structural high. We expect to learn more about the well result in due course.We believe that the successful Serenity exploration well, announced 29 October 2019 shifted the company’s centre of gravity towards that field and that the most recent result from the appraisal well at Liberator further shifts the balance of value towards that field.For perspective on Serenity, the oil in place estimate is 197 mmb (source: i3 Energy) based on pre-drill assumptions, which are broadly thought to have been confirmed by the successful discovery well. Applying a 35% recovery factor (WHI estimate) that would indicate a recoverable oil estimate of circa 69mmb. Based on an assumed 69 mmb recoverable oil resource at Serenity and a host of other assumptions we would estimate the full success case value of Serenity to be circa $543M. Based on the sum of the 119.6M shares outstanding and the 52.9M warrants outstanding the full success case values equates to 242 p/sh. We have included 25% of the success case value in our fair value estimate for that discovery, which equates to 61p/sh.We expect the shares to be volatile over the days and weeks ahead and see the 61p risked fair value estimate for Serenity as the key benchmark.

People completely missing the fact it’s “preliminary” results.
All they know with certainty is they have hit the captain sands they needed to.
Full results of wirelog, interpretation and next steps to follow soon.
Clearly they had to rush the RNS Out but by no means is this over yet and lots to play for from this level.

I don’t usually have much time fir all this mm manipulation stuff but the wY these big buys come in after every 1p or so drop is incredible. Obviously lots of sells but an amazing amount of buys and yet still price drops

Nine times out of ten in cases like this it is a case of follow the money. Every rise is met by selling which hints that the picture for i3e is looking a lot less rosy. I have been keeping half an eye on this but there isn't a case for investing a high stakes gamble. As we know the 'house' (market makers) usually wins..
