That is the "false" volume Sbbix: each trade is recorded twice, as a buy and a sell, so you need to divide by 2 to do comparisons.

Easy to miss, when pushing any boundary to the limit and that was fine, given that this was to be plugged and abandoned: it is crucial to get the additional results, which will give the clue to by how much they missed (and therefore where in the spectrum of 0 to 8 that this will be).

When he talks about drill position being at behest of lenders. It's simple, management got too cute,Fully funded for next two drills. Huge upside.

gisjob,

Perhaps, it was should and not would?...I'll listen again later. They have the guy from Dana who was involved in the original discovery working for them. I do not believe they, given a free hand, would have picked that location. In my opinion, they picked that location to satisfy the requirements for financing, thus it was at the behest of counterparty. Those around long enough will remember, the original plan did not even talk about a pilot well. That only came after the deal collapsed last year and this new finance agreement was struck up. What I'm annoyed at is they have over-egged the extent of the mapped reservoir. But what that also means is the original 11mln 2P in the CPR has not disappeared. That is still a resource to be monetised, but the field may not be as big as they originally hoped for.

gisjob2,

I am glad they were upfront and frank the resource estimates would be lowered, that was my immediate fear after this RNS. What MS did state was even with a lower resource mapped in that area, there would be enough resource to meet the finance package requirements. I'm going to hold fire as more will become clear once operations complete. If I'm honest, this is now a higher risk play than what I originally invested in. Lets see what they say in a few days after their downhole surveys are complete.

They lied to shareholders, that is the major issue here! There is no way in the world that drill had a 90% COS, absolutely no way and they should get sued! I'm fully in Beg's court on this, the management are totally incompetent and anything that they say cannot be trusted now. If they hit oil, it wont be through their own competence.

nametrade,

That's a fair point. But I see this decision to drill at that location as not something they wanted to do, clearly they went a bit cold when questioned over it, it looks like it was done to meet the financing requirement. I think we will get some more flavour to what's happened in the next RNS.
