Nice PH, still at work looking at the grockles in the traffic jam outside my office, can't wait to get out albeit I'm enjoying the bit of work that I'm doing at the moment. I think in these situations where there is a logic to value and the investment but there is a seller, you have to be hugely patient. I actually like these situations, VRS was a great example, you can make a lot of money if you are very patient.

Actually, HZM is a better and more recent example, constant seller taking it down to silly levels, they appear to have cleared now and the share price is shooting up. I3E is just in the same situation, patience will reap rewards.

Hi Buffy

...Worth remembering that the COS or POS is the composite of several factors that need to be present.

1) The presence of mature source rock
2) Effective hydrocarbon migration and charge
3) The presence of an effective reservoir
4) A hydrocarbon trapping mechanism

The chances of each of those four conditions being satisfied vary, but as an example, if each of those was assessed as being at 97% then the COS for the drill, or indeed the POS, would be 88.5%. A COS of 90% is therefore not too shabby…

Worth remembering too, that there has already been a successful exploration well on Liberator, and it ticked all four of your boxes. The 2 imminent Liberator wells are an appraisal well and a production well. Appraisal wells are basically done on the "measure twice, cut once" principle. So the COS is really the probability that the first explo well was a good one - ie not some kind of fluke.

IMHO the risks around the appraisal well are asymetric. There is a v small chance of failure, but if it did go wrong it would murder the share price. By contrast, in a logical universe, success should not massively boost the SP, because it is already expected.

That said, the market cap is plainly too low for a co looking to start production in the next year or so. The market is not always efficient.

Me, as Derbyshirelad, is pretty envious of your easy access to the sea.Derbyshire Dales are glorious at the moment but juniors would sooner be surfing than rambling for certain.Interesting discussion about the warrants and Cash's letter to AIM HQ seems to have worked.Let's hope yesterday's sell off was the low.

Beg, as you often say, pays to look with logic rather than emotion. Just reading up on Rockhopper and the development costs for their field in the Falklands. If I3E hits their targets, it is so undervalued, just happy to buy more.

The warrants sales is the only logical explanation imho, just the issue of the 14m odd at 56p to deal with! Nice to see a buyer moving into the stock today, just need a few more of those. Anyway, the sun is out, it's getting hot and there's a decent wave for the bank holiday weekend, so I'm going to be in the sea for the next three days with my daughter!

Good post DevonYes, the TR1 having come out actually clarifies things a tad. To not submit a TR1 is fairly common on AIM so I had a concern that LO may have been offloading big time but LO have confirmed they 'only' reduced 600k so that leans more into your logic of the warrants.A couple of good posts on LSE i3e board about the warrants that also seem plausible.I hope the share price has stabilised a bit now & we can form a new base.

Yep, let's hope the first drill is successful at least the institutions can unload into that result. It may actually move for the second drill then.

Not worried about daily moves, any one of the 90 / 70 / 72 % CoS wells being successful could be transformational and you don't have to be Einstein to see the that probability is good!
