16/5/2024 14:45 | The MM takes over 1/2 a million shares & still offering to buy 100,000 shares at 11.05p a share.Around 36 million shares is the 1st notification threshold.Long way to go, unless JP Morgan is at it again! All will be revealed to the ones who wait.Ash, mate, why hold shares in a company when you do not trust the CEO????Come on, be serious.Gl all | goodday1
16/5/2024 14:36 | Please refresh as to the below assertion? I for one don't view this as credible... tonynorstrom116 May '24 - 13:02 - 36626 of 36634 0 3 0 Haha ha ha haha ha ha! I’m pretty confident you are wrong but let’s see. A couple of comments: 1) it’s not the first time they have forecast total return in this way without the predicted increase in dividend you are forecasting. | ashkv

16/5/2024 14:01 | From stockhouse:This is what WHI had to say todayi3 Energy Q1 Results Better than forecast i3 Energy's Canadian shareholding has increased beyond 10% and as such it has started to provide quarterly reporting in accordance with Canadian securities laws. Today, i3 Energy reported its first quarterly results. Production for Q1 2024 at 19,410 boe/d was a touch better than our 19,331 boe/d forecast. The cash margin per barrel of oil equivalent ("boe") came in ahead of our expectations at $US 6.99/boe compared to our forecast of $US 6.31/boe. Details of the beat are provided in Table 1 below. Broadly, our take away is that the Q1 results again provide confidence in the delivery of i3 Energy's assets and management team. We reiterate our 21p fair value estimate for i3 Energy. As a reminder, our fair value estimate is premised a 5x EV/2025 expected debt adjusted cash flow ("DACF") multiple. We believe the company's solid operational results combined with rising commodity prices will further support the positive trajectory of i3 Energy. | eaglehaslanded

16/5/2024 13:24 | Thoughts with the sellers who parted with their holdings under 11p.1- Missed on subsequent dividends.2- Sold out cheaply.3- Missed on any appreciation in share price - Remember the soap!!!Buyback does not guarantee improvement in share price I am sure some here are holding some shares with buyback which is been going on for months!Anyone can mention such companies?Would rather have more drilling to increase production.Still, you can sell 100,000 shares for 11p.Gl all | goodday1
16/5/2024 13:02 | Haha ha ha haha ha ha! I’m pretty confident you are wrong but let’s see. A couple of comments: 1) it’s not the first time they have forecast total return in this way without the predicted increase in dividend you are forecasting. 2) your argument falls down a little bit in that you buy back stock - there is no guarantee that the share price rises in the same way if production rises it does not guarantee an share price increase. 3) Refer to the meeting I pointed to where I3E have clearly said buy backs is not on the cards which they have stated many times previously. 4) I3E in answering the question of buybacks have stated that their research indicates that small buybacks do not drive up the share price - refer to Q&A I pointed you to previously. So Haha.. ha..ha..ha ! Glad you had a good laugh!! | tonynorstrom1
16/5/2024 12:46 | TN - haha a sane company would never predict a share price increase and that too in a range of 3-5%. IT IS CLEAR AS DAY THAT CONVEYS TO SOME FORM OF FURTHER CAPITAL RETURN IF BUY BACKS RULED OUT THAN A DIVIDEND BUMP IF FCF ALLOWS!!! tonynorstrom1 Ashkv - the paragraph you highlighted does not indicate share buybacks or increased dividend. What they are saying is that with production growth, the "expected total return" (SP growth plus dividend) will be 11%. | ashkv
16/5/2024 11:44 | Fanny - Higher and higher - what do you think -oh my sides ! | tonynorstrom1
16/5/2024 11:21 | Good job Ash did plenty of research before buying!Ash want his money out as he can lose it much quicker somewhere else, mate, ask Sunbed advice!LolInvestment portfolio is a bit like a bar of soap. The more you touch it, move it around and fiddle with it, the smaller it gets. But leave it alone, and it will just quietly sit there, doing its own thing.Calm down and collect the dividend.Thank you, Tony, I see stupid is completely out of its depth in research by your quotations of its drivel, however, it might be an expert in reading tea leaves.Hahaha Gl all | goodday1
16/5/2024 11:16 | Ash You speak complete sense to me. Don’t be brow beaten by our resident bully beef. | aberdeenandy
16/5/2024 11:01 | Ashkv, "I am flummoxed why Majid is drilling for gas given where the price of AECO gas is!!! Surely it is better to defer expenditure even if production goes down and compensate with buybacks, higher dividend than shoot oneself in the foot by providing hazy humongous capex budged for 2024 which DOESN'T SPECIFY HOW IT IS TO BE ALLOCATED!!! Should have specified if Gas price is not above XYZ than the Capex for these wells will be deferred." This is just a whole pile of cow dung ! 1) "..DOESN'T SPECIFY...." They have been very specific on the "planned" drilling and its Oil and Liquids focused (15 gross wells, 8 Oil & 7 Liquids Rich Gas) 2) Majid also reiterated that the intention was to drill the highest return wells whether they be oil or gas and that some gas wells (presumably liquids rich) produce higher cash flows than Oil wells. He also went on to say that if gas prices did not improve to the extent that is forecast - they have the optionality to modify the drilling plan. 3) Buybacks in my opinion would be a good idea - however, you have obviously not been following any of the presentations or podcasts the Company have put out - they currently have zero plans to buy back stock - they believe they will achieve higher returns by drilling or M&A. | tonynorstrom1
16/5/2024 10:59 | Buy backs have 100% been ruled out! | rockyride
16/5/2024 10:38 | Tony Even you are sounding a bit desperate at the moment. It might be time to sell a few to ease the stress old fella. Having said that you may be locked in at a 15p average as from memory you have been ramping this share all the way down from 23p. | aberdeenandy
16/5/2024 10:35 | Tony - I expect Buybacks to be announced post Court Sanction of Capital Reduction. That imho is the next big news!!! The below would indicate a Buyback / Or possibly/less likely a dividend bump of 3 to 5% RNS Number : 9394L i3 Energy PLC 25 April 2024 i3 Energy plc 2024 Capital Budget and Production Guidance "Return of Capital As part of its total return model, the Company remains committed to delivering a sustainable monthly dividend to complement its organic growth profile. Since initiating its dividend programme in July 2021 i3 has paid total dividends of £37.2 million (USD 47.4 million). Based on its recent elimination of all corporate bank indebtedness and forecasted 2024 guidance, i3 expects to deliver minimum total 2024 dividends of £12.3 million (USD 15.7 million). Subject to Board approval, the 2024 forecasted dividend, representing 0.2565 pence per share per quarter or 1.026 pence per share for the year, translates to a forward yield of 8.1% based on the closing price of i3's ordinary shares of 12.66 pence on 23 April 2024. Based on projected year-over-year production growth and anticipated dividend yield, the Company expects to deliver a total Shareholder return of 11% - 13% in 2024. " | ashkv
16/5/2024 10:32 | "I think the nagging fear for many shareholders is that with a lack of news on the near and medium horizon this could easily drift back down towards 9p. The big corporate news everyone was expecting was a damp squib. Hangingstone was sold for peanuts." Its funny that you think your able to speak to the fears of "many shareholders". How could you possible know what the average shareholder thinks. The fact is that many here dont rate your opinion and have also noted your propensity to spread negative narratives. Whilst I would agree that there appears to be no scheduled news flow in the very near time frame (except for commencement of drilling) - how could you possibly know that there is nothing in the "medium term" - you dont and its another example of you making sh!t up ......again! With the strongest balance sheet in i3e's history, managements record of pulling off great deals - there's a lot that can happen in the medium term. Drilling for one is scheduled to commence in the next few weeks and a high impact multi well pad development in Simonette in early Q1 2024 - is that not medium term ? | tonynorstrom1
16/5/2024 10:31 | tonynorstrom1 I have been an investor in I3E for over 2 years - in and out and back in / averaged down second go around. I was lucky enough to ride the wave from 8p and sold around 20p my first go My current average is above today's share price and it has been so for an extended period even post averaging down - I3E has not ridden the recent oil price resurgence / agree AECO is in the doldrums!!! I am flummoxed why Majid is drilling for gas given where the price of AECO gas is!!! Surely it is better to defer expenditure even if production goes down and compensate with buybacks, higher dividend than shoot oneself in the foot by providing hazy humongous capex budged for 2024 which DOESN'T SPECIFY HOW IT IS TO BE ALLOCATED!!! Should have specified if Gas price is not above XYZ than the Capex for these wells will be deferred. Canadian Gas unfortunately is not rising with US gas prices :( And IMHO to take on debt to drill for gas seems mighty poor strategy. Hopefully a soon to be announced Buyback will result in a share price correction to appropriate levels!!! RNS Number : 3002I i3 Energy PLC 26 March 2024 26 March 2024 i3 Energy plc ("i3", "i3 Energy", or the "Company") Reduction of Share Capital If the proposed Capital Reduction is approved by Shareholders at the General Meeting, it will be subject to the scrutiny of, and confirmation by, the Court which will take due account of the protection of creditors and, subject to that confirmation and registration by the Registrar of Companies in England and Wales of the order of the Court, is expected to take effect by the end of May 2024. | ashkv
