Goodday

I don’t mean to dwell on bad news but I’m still worried sick about the profits being down 50% as reported yesterday. I’ve tried sweeping it under the carpet like the rest of you but all I can now see this massive lump which is a tripping hazard. :-(

I need some of your hallucinogenics to get me through this man. I know better times could potentially be coming in 2025 which is some comfort.

Don’t even look at the oil price now without popping something first. It’s suddenly fallen through the floor.

Careful Bob

The charts tell me we’re perfectly set for a Battersea Fun Fare or otherwise know as the “Big Dipper”. It should bottom at 9p.

When it ‘goes’ try to enjoy it. Reverse psychology and all that. Put your hands in the air and go “weeeeeeeeee”

Just because you dont understand the logic - it does not mean its flawed.

A couple of things you dont grasp:

1) Gas at the current price is about 16% of revenue - or put anotherway Liquids is 84%. Even at CAD 3.00 gas is only about 28% of revenue - so Albert - which is the main driver of revenues?

2)Gas is currently very weak - does not mean it wont strengthen and in fact gas hedges are priced at CAD 3.00 in November. It is not impossible that gas prices aggregated over the year could be stronger than last year. The average from January thru March was CAD 2.35 only just below the CAD 2.50 / GJ achieved in 2023. This is something you would have not been aware of because you talk off the top of your head, dont track the numbers and have no idea what they are.

enjoy your wine and PS....... the share price is currently back over 11p you will be disappointed to learn - buckle up !

Tony

Your logic is flawed because you bang on about profits decimation being last years news but what you fail to grasp is that gas prices have been even worse this year right up to NOW which is not good for future 2024 results. Yes oil has improved a little but gas is the main driver here.

Anyway, let’s leave it there. I’m getting bored of this and your blinkered views. The only reason I indulge you is because I do suffer fools gladly. A bit of a bad habit of mine I’m afraid.

12 months down the road, whatever happens, we will have collected 10% of our current investment in dividends. I note you were telling a poster just yesterday to wait until 9.50 to buy and then subsequently also to have patience from here...choose which one of the above it seems. Now its 9p. Your "balanced" input is confused and biased to the extreme

RTW,

Its hard to talk to a brick but i'll give it one last go and restrict future posts to fact checking you:

1) "Profits" falling 50% is clearly not a good thing but it didn't happen yesterday - it happened over the last year in line with falling Oil & Gas Prices and continuously priced into the the share price day by day. Pull up the chart and you will see the almost continual fall from 18 months or so ago. So the bad news if you like has been the fall in Oil & Gas prices over the last 18 months not the FY results when you appear to have woken up yesterday. The other thing that you are probably unaware of - the results are YE 2023 and are already 4 months old!! The market is looking forward !

2) "Profits" and "cash flow" are not the same as discussed previously. Underlying cash flow is still pretty robust though somewhat less than last year obviously - however, as WHI said - I3e is a "cash machine"

3)The "profit" number that you are fixated on will improve as Oil and particularly gas prices improve along with the commencement of the drilling program.

No need to discuss who supplies the Wine - you wont be invited to my table - I dont suffer fools graciously. A bit of a bad habit of mine i'm afraid.

Whether this share price goes up is largely dependent on the AECO price and that is only predicted by some to improve towards the end of the year. Also it’s a big IF it improves. Many see the glut of gas dragging prices further down. Time will tell but there are considerable risks here.

Yes the first quarter oil drilling NEXT YEAR (as Tony flagged) could be interesting but that is nearly a year off. Are you guys seriously investing now for events that far down the road? Whilst you fiddle with your corporate binoculars, the share price ebbs away.

All things considered, I think this is worth a punt under 9p.

Be careful.

Ok - come on Einstein - educate us with what the truth is ?

I only see you spreading misinformation and fear and I think many see the same - I would call that poison !!

If your going to refer to the precipitous fall in profits - this was forseen by the market / smart money / institutions months ago and as I pointed out WHI had already forecast the number inadvance as had many others. So no surprise in the YE results - only to the uninformed like yourself. Its simple stuff Oil Price x Production - costs = profit. Any gas weighted North American producer has sufferend the same profit declines

And its also the reason i3e have fallen to the present level 4 months or so ago and not in the last few days.

I3e's fundamentals / prospects have significantly improved over the last 4 months:

1) Eliminated debt
2) Replaced debt facility with a cheaper non-amortiizing loan which significantly improves liquidity
3) Announced a $50m Capex program
4) Strong Oil Price
5) Signs that the macro for gas maybe improving.
6) Dividend pretty much confirmed for the year 9% plus - lovely jubbly
7) share price up today and last night in Canada despite some dip sh!t saying "Canadian investors will sell into this bad news. They don’t take kindly to profits dropping by 50%"

and no tony does not privately agree "worrying times" - the skies are looking brighter and i3e have never had a sronger balance sheet than they have now.

The biggest catalyst on the near time horizon is AECO - if that improves like many think - the share price will tick up nicely.

The Q1 2025 Montney Pad Drilling program also sounds pretty exciting !
