Thanks Skinny.

So maybe operational from 2028? By then there might be a functioning gas grid and other infrastructure. And that area is one of HGEN's strengths.

Thanks dsrush that is the article that I read.

Here's another article:

"The push to wean the planet off carbon-free fuels and transition to renewable energy has focused mainly on wind and solar power. But mounting scientific evidence suggests there’s an untapped clean energy source deep underground that could provide vastly more power than we need: hydrogen created by natural geologic processes. And like the oil industry’s early days in the 19th century, it’s spawning a wave of drilling startups vying to be first to find big deposits."........

How do you drill for hydrogen?

I was reading that Spain want to start drilling for hydrogen in the Pyrenees, and a company is applying for drilling licences there. They are already drilling for hydrogen in south Australia. I think it was Mali, where they found hydrogen on a drill hole a few years ago and piped it up to a generator. Now they are getting rid of the generator and fitting a fuel cell.

This might be a future area for HGEN to invest in.

FT video on the hydrogen economy:

Free to view, I think. Includes HiiROC twice.

There was an article in The Times yesterday about a new green hydrogen plant in Hull by Meld Energy. There were some good comments on the general topic, including one about a trial at Brigg power station by HiiROC and Centrica to inject hydrogen into the grid. Starts in Q3.

UK aerospace group seeks £30mn to develop hydrogen-powered aircraft

Cranfield Aerospace Solutions is among a handful of companies pursuing plans to retrofit smaller existing planes.

... aiming to raise £30mn this year as part of ambitious plans to develop a hydrogen-powered electric aircraft ready for launch as early as 2026.

Cranfield Aerospace Solutions, originally spun out of Cranfield University and whose backers include the venture arm of French aerospace group Safran and UK-listed fund HydrogenOne Capital Growth, said it was in talks with more than a dozen new investors. The money from the fundraising, which follows an earlier round last year, would be used to develop a flying demonstration aircraft and do preliminary work on the final product, according to the company.

Joined you today in HGEN will keep adding with spare cash after a little research, for all this change to renewables all that has been accomplished is 3% change so far another 97% to go pity the planet does not have enough cobalt ,copper ect to achieve this so I guess it must be Hydrogen for the fuel of the future.

It's a crude algorithm. if the trade is below mid-price, it's stamped as a sell, and vice versa.

Have just bought in as indications are that this fund may start taking off. However, even though there is a huge discount to NAV, the trades are showing more sales than buys. I wonder why?

I like(d) investigate to get lists of historic RNS for a company - which I use in the header of any threads that I create - but they seemed to of, ahem, updated the site and I can't find that option?

Skinny - not using Investegate any more?

It's changed ownership and they're trying to gradually improve it. If you sign up for an account, they send emails about progress.

From the research note:

....."HGEN should be seen as a long-term investment. However, in the short-term, more risk-averse (some might say panicky) investors have driven a sharp, and we feel unwarranted, fall in HGEN's share price. With the shares at an 51.9% discount, new investors are being presented with an attractive entry point."
