04/7/2024 19:41 | Maybe it was ii, and not AJB. Here's a comment from the GPM thread: "I remember last year that interactive investor suddenly stopped trading in GPM shares. I contacted the GPM fund managers and they sorted the problem. Evidently their "agent" hadn't passed on necessary information to interactive investor. Once that was rectified interactive investor started to trade in GPM shares again." Sounds like it's HGEN that need to be prodded to sort it out. | weyweyumfozo
04/7/2024 13:59 | These things are rarely done for our benefit. Wouldn't surprise me if they had a short going. | 31337 c0d3r
04/7/2024 11:00 | Thanks, it sounds strange to me. Just wondered whether anyone had pursued with AJ Bell, after receiving similar explanation from them, about it being shown on their system as “Error This security is restricted from dealing” | adobbing
04/7/2024 10:50 | I think the same thing happened with GPM. GPM contacted AJB after a shareholder complained and it was rectified. How can half the NAV not be fair value?? | weyweyumfozo
04/7/2024 10:41 | Attempted to purchase some via AJ Bell, who told me it had failed a fair value assessment. “The reason for the restriction is due to this stock not providing fair value after failing a far value assessment.” Reading up thread, I see other people had this experience with AJ Bell, a while back. Are AJ Bell incorrect and did anyone resolve it with them? | adobbing
09/5/2024 19:32 | Skinny posted the link below on the ITM thread but very relevant to HGEN as well www.hydrogeninsight. | pj84
09/5/2024 15:02 | One lives in hope. ;) | brucie5
09/5/2024 13:23 | As much as I'm enjoying this rise Brucie5, I think on past performance you'd be hopeful of having another chance near 50. | robards
09/5/2024 12:32 | Congratulations. I missed this morning's rise though it's had several spikes before without any sustained reversal of overall trend. I'm still awaiting an optimal point of entry, having clearly missed the last one! | brucie5
09/5/2024 12:09 | Brucie5 there is also a third layer of potential discount as the current NAVs don't take account of the hoped for exit premiums the management believe will start to prove the model of the fund. Nice to have a double figure percentage profit for the first time since buying into HGEN | pj84
09/5/2024 11:29 | From 52 to 56 - >8% up on the morning. Now that really is annoying. | brucie5
09/5/2024 10:07 | And absolutely no interest in this share, which is a great counter-indicator. The interview with Richard Hulf is an essential starting point for understanding the proposition, imo. The chart has just turned up over the 200sma, so could be worth watching, in case we are now at the very start of a revaluation of the hydrogen story. If so, this one contains pretty much everything one might need for the journey, at a 50% discount, which may even understate, if the company has been oversevere in its discounting of NAV values in the underlying shares. In which case two layers of discount? I don't hold, but if the chart serves up a reversal, I can well imagine doing so! | brucie5
08/5/2024 07:17 | Positive update, I'd have thought... | brucie5
01/5/2024 06:11 | Let us see what 8th May brings as theQ1 2024 NAV and portfolio update is expected to be published on that date...... | livewireplus
18/4/2024 06:26 | Discount looks bonkers but sign of the times | amt
02/4/2024 15:28 | Looks like the City of Bradford - West Yorkshire Pension Fund, see value at these depressed levels and have increased their holdings from 5.05% to 6.6% of the company's shares. | pj84
27/3/2024 20:12 | Quite a strong rise today: HGEN up 7.87% For comparison: FTSE 100 up 0.01% FTSE 250 up 0.17% | 31337 c0d3r
25/3/2024 14:46 | folks on the BSIF board on this site are saying they recieved a very similar email from AJ Bell re that stock. | thompson_alan
25/3/2024 14:03 | Brilliant: "First, an apology. We sent you an email this weekend telling you that an investment you hold had failed a fair value assessment. Unfortunately, due to a system error, the email named an incorrect investment. We’re very sorry for this mistake, and for the confusion it caused. The investment you hold that failed a fair value assessment is: CORDIANT DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE LTD." And yes - I do hold CORD. | spectoacc
25/3/2024 08:33 | Has the company announced this to shareholders via RNS? | 31337 c0d3r
25/3/2024 06:49 | Coaxed in non-advice language, eg: "We’ve got an important update for you about an investment you hold – HYDROGENONE CAPITAL GROWTH PLC. Recently, this investment failed a fair value assessment, carried out by the manager of the investment itself. This means the investment may not offer you good enough value over the long term. " More concerned that they think I hold it, in two different a/c's. | spectoacc
24/3/2024 22:53 | Are they not forbidden from providing unsolicited trading advice? | 31337 c0d3r
24/3/2024 07:46 | AJ Bell emailed me over the weekend saying HGEN had failed the Fair Value Assessment, and that I ought to think about selling my holdings. Which is amusing on several levels, the most obvious being that I don't actually hold currently. Anyone else get the same email? | spectoacc |
