IP are selling a few into a rising share price. That sale was made on Tuesday. We know that at the same time they've been selling Woodford has been buying. Actually Woodford is buying much more aggressively than they have been selling. Hence the share price has continued to rise.

The rising share price tells us all we need to know which way the balance is tilted here

IP have reduced by point 4%. No doubt some posters will try to use that as a reason to post rubbish and unsettle momentum but the RNS is completely insignificant.

They wont be selling the licence They will be licencing the flu product. HVO say that they could deliver phase three but they have decided not to. How much they will receive for the licence I don't know but Woodford certainly have assessed the position and are increasing their holding daily!! So they will be looking to acquire another 4 million shares.

I'm gonna be buying more on the bell tomorrow hopefully before Woodford again lol but looking at companies Woodford has bought into he goes up to 29% so expect another RNS tomorrow or Monday morning as previous ones have taken 2 days as the markets want to keep us pi's on our toes but anything under 1.50 for me personally is a steal here and you'll be rewarded sooner than you think. Good luck and good night here's to another exciting day tomorrow.

Interesting post from the other board:

I'm not surprised the company used the words "blockbuster sales potential" in the 18 June rns.

According to Public Health England in 2016 some 11 million people were given the flu virus. If we assume that there were another 2 million in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales that gives us a figure of 13 million.

Pharma companies claim to have operating margins of 25-30% on vaccines. The NHS pays £5 or £8 per unit currently depending on what type of vaccines are bought. Let's take a median figure of £6.50 × 25% = £1.625

That comes to a profit of £21.25m per annum.

Remember this profit margin is what the pharmaceutical companies themselves claim to make but critics allege that the vaccines cost as little as £1 per unit to develop.

Now multiply it over 20 years (it takes approx 20 years to develop a new vaccine) which gives you £422m. Then extend it to Europe, the US, and other countries around the world and you begin to get an idea of how many billions of pounds a universal flu vaccine is worth. The scale is simply mind blowing.

No wonder pharma companies are scrambling to be the first to market with a universal vaccine.

Thanks Berny for answering my questions must admit I find this site a lot better than the LSE one . People seem to want to help you more rather than constant ramps or deramps . Have a good evening

Because AIM rules state that once you reach 30% you must make a formal offer for the company.

Woodford is an investment fund so has no interest in taking out HVO. It is investing to make money for its clients in the same way that you and I are investing here to see a good return.

The maximum Woodford can go to is 29.9% and the way they've been buying lately suggests that they have every intention of taking the maximum they're allowed.

Usually how it works is the pharmaceutical companies agree a big payment paid upfront and upon completion of certain targets and also royalty payments over the lifetime of the sales of the drug. Like I said a universal flu vaccine really could be worth hundreds of millions
