This new Company structure gives opportunities for "Dividending Out" some of the smaller assets which currently have low values. Will require going to the High Court if they go down that route.

Also the structure should help Hurricane bring in multiple partners if they choose. Essentially then reducing the risk of a cheap takeover by a major by "Clouding the Group."

The creation of the additional companies also may lead to a degree of ambiguity as it may be perceived that there are other reasons not to have created a company specifically for Halifax (perish the thought!) The environmental report does mention Halifax as a discovery, however. Let's trust this is the case.

Pounddreamer - Post 16255, couldn't agree more, nice find on the restructuring front by the way.

Ps: I think you should change to 2pounddreamer;-)

Agreed re the status of the licenses but which entity (company) owns them will.
Eg. The Strathmore licence and all associated data, assets, etc will be transferred to said company - Hurricane Strathmore Ltd. A value can then be put to this entity for it to be sold to PMO (or anyone else). All very neat saving haggling with PMO et al as to what should be included. Packaged up and ready to go - bit like an oil field takeaway.

I think they will look to sell the 3 separately named companies to help fund EPS for the GLA field.

All IMO.

In practical terms I imagine we as shareholders will in due course learn that we now own shares in the holding company; the parent. The holding company will then be the entity that owns the others. Earnings, profits on disposal and so on will flow through to the holding company's accounts. Investment, development and disposal decisions will similarly be made by the holding company.

Not surprised at the lack of share price reaction - do remember that the logical corporate structure doesn't necessarily reflect the status of the licences or the fields within them.

As I posted on lse after my 09:24 post (#16239) I'm certain that the GLA company is a very strong indication that they're already certain that Lancaster-Halifax are one field, but not being an accountant I can't think why they've also created the intermediary 'Holdings' company? Anyone?

Seems that way to me BH.
It also seems to me we are in the middle of a news avalanche.
To recap:
A new second broker appointed.
Detailed Enviro statement which gives much detail.
New structure of company allowing for quick deals.
Halifax result imminent.
Lancaster CPR imminent.
EPS funding and route forward expected in weeks

Only fly in the oinment is recent POO performance but other than this whats not to like?
Apart form the wests ongoing political implosion.

So from post 16239 it's possible we're looking at two sets of connected fields and three independent fields and we're unchanged on the day share price wise! Incredible!!

Quite simply if they allowed Russian subs at Fastlane then we simply re-invade and restart the Union again...

After all they have been told they won't be in Nato

sheep - i think so too..

ngms: yes, imo, it will rocket irrespective of short term weakness on oil price...

imo, if halifax is not connected to lancaster, then the share price would have a good whoosh but secombe to the typical drift off til next news (cpr), but, if H iss connected to L, then i think the share price would absolutely whoosh and gap up big time, maybe a quid....

inciddentally, POO is starting to rise of the 4hr medium term support line..........i think it wil work its way up to resistance in its triangle at ~$53/b on WTI chart.. it simply didnt breakout at ~$54.60 around the ~20th Feb, thus sellers came in, but now its down to the rising support channel...

bring on the HALIFAX news...........

GLA Greater Lancaster Area?

GWA Greater Warwick Area?

Very interesting!

very interesting in that Halifax doesnt have its own co, and that inferrance Lincoln is combined into GWA . the lack of separate co.s for lincoln and halifax strikes me; intriguing.... looks like theyre parcelling up each asset, so that any one can be put into either development, or explo, or an asset individually sold off, but what is most stiking is the lack of the halifax separate co... that infers GLA is lancaster and halifax as one co or asset, thus one field............

come on halifax news, getting bored now. lol

whatver happens to the share price before halifax news doesnt bother me one iota, i just want to be in before news as imo if it is connected to lancaster, then this will absolutely rocket! probably be the carlsberg of GAP UPS. :-)

A huge field,eg, Halifax et al, would do toilet Nicola much good!...unless the Shetlands decide to come south. :)

The latest ones are in my opinion the more interesting.Hurricane GLA ltd.Does this mean that Halifax is linked to Lancaster and that GLA is one enormous field. Also Hurricane GWA ltd inferring that Warwick and Lincoln form another giant oilfield.Very interesting times ahead for Hurricane LT

Trump? He's the least of our troubles! Wait 'til Nicola invites Vladimir to park his subs in Faslane.

Looks to me they are re-structuring the company into parcels so they can do deals, etc

Also inference that GLA and GWA formed and held by holdings company indicates to me combined large fields otherwise you would have Hurricane Lancaster Ltd and Hurricane Halifax Ltd, etc.

Ducks are being lined up...............
