Malcy updates his bucket list and is still very positive on HUR. However I do note he appears to have slightly toned down the massive upside talk to something that sounds slightly more credible as POSSIBLE; 100p plus;

No more ten bagger tweets maybe.

I find this the hardest time, just sitting waiting on a key activity to happen. Since can't see much happening until the EPS. Although quite happy with the company except for the fund raising debacle, this investment is currently my biggest loss which is somewhat annoying. :0(

Good morning everyone.

Thanks Catherine and thanks Janeen for the introduction.

It’s great to be back in Aberdeen.

I’ve just come back from the US where of course the country is facing the fallout from Hurricane Harvey, particularly in Texas.

Our colleagues in Houston are going through an extremely difficult time right now, and our thoughts are with them and all those affected by the storm.

Like Houston, Aberdeen is one of the great oil and gas cities of the world. This is actually my third visit in the past 9 months, so I’m almost a “local” again.

This was my home back when I was a production engineer in the 1980s.

It’s where my son was born.

Around that time Aberdeen was the new frontier – showing the world how to explore and operate in some of the harshest conditions anywhere on the planet.

It’s where many of the great innovations of the offshore industry began.

Skills learned here have shaped the industry all around the globe.

It’s why the North Sea will always be one of the great basins.

That continues to be the case and we’re now seeing a renewed focus in the basin. I’m really pleased about that.

We’ve seen Hurricane Energy’s big discovery earlier this year – opening the prospect of major new resources west of Shetland

Total’s new commitment, with the acquisition of Maersk Oil.

Our own partnership in Norway with Det Norske to create AKER BP.

People will have heard me talk about the North Sea as one of the crown jewels in our portfolio.

We’ve looked at the portfolio and reshaped it.

And now we’re very focused on key areas – in the Central North Sea and in particular West of Shetland.

BP have today mentioned HUR in a very positive way. I reckon this could be the catalyst for a push north :-)

Agreed, Malcy or not, from Kerogens investment at 15p which kickstarted the last drill campaign, one can only blame themselves if they did not take advantage of prices which remained below 20p for quite sometime.Cash

If you'd listened to Malcy when nobody else was promoting HUR, you'd have made plenty even at today's price. The biggest golden ticket was issued in April 16 when Kerogen invested at 15p. If you missed that clear signal, only you to blame.

Could Hurricane Energy's Lancaster be one of 'best' oil fields on the planet? how good is Hurricane Energy Plc's (LON:HUR) Lancaster oil field? One measure taken from the most recent well suggests it is potentially one of the best on the planet.When it comes to reviewing the results of this year's wells on the Lancaster the news flow has been very positive.Indeed if there's any grey area remaining it is quite simply comes down to quantifying just how big the field is.Results from the most recent well show that the wells now in place at Lancaster can comfortably satisfy an early production system (EPS), planned to deliver a maximum of 20,000 bopd.Flow testing hit an equipment constrained maximum of 14,500 bopd from one of two wells intended for the EPS, quite how much more can be flowed can at the moment only be speculated upon.It is that reason that investors in the North Sea oil firm are suddenly conversant in technical terminology normally reserved for oil field engineers.Specifically, the attention is on the well's 'productivity index' or PI which in the most recent well had a read out of 147 b/d per psi (that's barrels per day, per pound per square inch of pressure).Simplifying that somewhat, WH Ireland analyst Brendan Long last week explained that it essentially meant that the well could deliver an additional 10,000 bopd through increasing drawn-down pressure by 68 psi – an amount he described as "almost nothing".Hurricane Energy chief executive Dr Robert Trice, speaking during an interview on Tip TV, put the PI into an even more investor friendly context."It [the PI] is extremely good ... I thought all hurricane has to do is put the pipe in and oil would come out...is that too simplistic? Oh and maybe get a bigger boat in the future

Hi all....still.lurking around waiting for an oppertuniry to present itself so i may buy in elcheapo.....25p is my line in the sand however I doubt we will he that low so may have to content myself with 27. The risk here is the re entry to the wells imho.....prerty much all other issues are covered.....looking forward to next year and an share price in 3 figures.

AM is currently about 150 km from PS, and doing around 5 kts, so should be there later today, but entry into the Suez will depend on scheduling.. Plenty of AIS coverage there so it should be easy to keep track for the next few days.

Port Said indicate Wednesday 7am for the AM arrival,I'm not currently adding, not being greedy I have a holding, will be happy to have update on a farmout in the coming months, drill ship over Lancaster probably doing some seabed work,looking back, 12 months ago price was approx. 25.40p progress has been made so if it dips further I will be tempted. Presently it seems to be bought into late on in day and if economics dictate sold into early morning spikes then its walked down big players buy back lower and then dominate the price no news does not help the smaller investors, I am sure those taking long term view will make a good %
