Isn't it amazing how a share can be growing like this, in a fashionable sector that many commentators are recommending, without attracting interest from many investors.

How has it managed to stay off peoples' radar screens?

My inspiration came from the same source as yours Pip. I just regret selling half a while ago to buy a "sensible" bank, still that was also the choice of Sally so I will hold on to both.

Not much to say about this great share, just keeps powering ahead, what more can you ask for.
No blue sky rating here, just a quality outfit.
If your intersted in the oil supply side this company has to be in your portfolio It`s in mine.

Made my decision on reading Sally White`s report on Michael Walters site.
Still all to play for I think.

Sorry if you're are genuine Hectorp, I just get fed up of people coming on to a thread with the "come and look at this share" invite.
It usually reeks of desperation like the "MMs want your shares" "good buying opportunity" and "this will double by next week" garbage thats posted all day long.
This is a nice quiet thread where you can sit and watch the price going up and still grab forty winks in piece and quiet.
Works for me anyway!

Hectorp- agreed re SDX/HTG. I hold both, and bought SDX day before last HTG results. With HTG doubling growth 2 years running, organically, perhaps a possibility that they will acquire SDX at some point (or consider doing so) to continue excellent growth. IMO.

aly48 - I'm right to bring SDX to HTG shareholders attention.
Sondex is certain to grow stronger in the next two years than Hunting is.
I'm not 'spamming' sdx. I'm entitled to make these comparisons. I hold both stocks and my technical and strategic view is sound:
that Hunting shareholders should also hold Sondex shares - and V/V.
No offence meant to any poster
H.

my cousin works for a well known broking firm, told me 2 weeks ago to buy any oil service stock as analysts/fund managers were clambering for these, (i wrote on the tnt forum about this). He said this was by far and away first choiice for all. Today we had a bot buying in bits. No stopping this till at least 750-775p.

maybe sector finaly coming on the radar too, HTG, PFC and SDX results have all exceeded expectations, people bound to catch on eventually. EXR update soon, so will be interesting to see if they can keep things on the boil

Investors Chronicle view
Hunting Shares have continued their good performance and, with robust investment levels set to underpin growth going forward, the still look attractive on 16.2 times prospective earnings. Good Value.

The only thing I would question is the forcast of EPS 41.8 looks very consevative to me given that they now stand at 37.6.even at that rating if the PE Ration were to get back to 22 that would give a price of £9.20, so with any luck a long way to go yet.

I've bought these, this kind of growth suggests the shares will get to 800p-900p before they reach what i'd consider a reasonable valuation. A fantastic company this.

Huggy,
I spent the last six months following the consensus forecast for profits convinced that they were miles out and althought they were regularly updated they ultimately proved woefull. Consensus for the next full year is £83.93m and I bet the pepole that dream up these figures earn even more than me! I thnk we still have some way to go.

Ian.

It's a pity that the market was/is in the state of turmoil at the point these results were annaounced. However, they've held up pretty well so far. If and when some normality returns to the market, they should continue their rise. The figures mentioned above by dwsmithdhf are a good starting point. The company has said doubling profits again is unsustainable but an EPS of 50p is something around 30-35% increase in earnings which should be comfortable. So £7.50 in relatively short order seems emminently achievable.
