no its not - I think its an important interview which I'd like all Hummingbird's shareholders to listen to. And my points are relevant and I will keep hammering on them.

Everyone here is a bull of the gold price or we wouldn't be here but, as I've said before, I agree with hedging part of anticipated production, primarily because of HUM's indebtedness. Better a bird in the hand.

Great to see the share price reacting to Betts' interview but it's all noise. The actual figures need to confirm that production in the 1st qtr matches, at least, the 4th qtr.

Farrugia - enough already! We've had that discussion. Reposting the interview with your same line is a waste of everyone's time.

I liked that interview but they need to hedge a portion of currency production at those high prices to minimise the risk of any further setbacks! Increasing production going forward isn't an issue so hedging a portion of existing production would give them more stability and certainty going into the immediate future. Hummingbird desperately need that stability and I hope Dan realises that! PLEASE GUYS E-MAIL INVESTOR RELATIONS URGING THAT IF YOU WANT TO SAFEGUARD YOUR INVESTMENT HERE.

I can confirm that. Been trying to get another 10k and usually get an improvement on spread. Nothing doing this AM, not even a decent partial fill at full price!

11.50/12.00 pence paid for 20,000 / 50,000 relatively small trades but nibbles all add up, momentum building into results.. :o)

#Jaspoland, 25th last year, but more than happy for them to drop next week, we have a tailwind from POG, and it is all to play for with mine two commissioning just weeks away..Exciting times here.. :o)

Q1 results next week or 2…. I recall them saying that they would drop 3rd week of April so expecting them next week.
Whilst he said he didn't have the numbers to hand he must have a good idea and the fact he said the mine is working to plan we can assume no surprises.
Price of gold is going to do wonders here

A very open and frank interview with DB, honest about learning as they went along from 2005, none of them started out as miners, he put his hands up to mistakes made and going forward the team has a vast amount more experience..He also seemed open to the possibility of someone with much deeper pockets building Dugbe maybe a JV, ESAN/VEIN and we keep a small shareholding, he did not seem to indicate a sale, but the strategic review is underway as we know..Q1 results next week or 2...

Cinoib, They have reduced the AIDC, or am I reading this wrong!!

darren, if you took the trouble to look you will have seen all in cost is over $2,000 and untill that is brought down then they will be bad, but it's your money you are loosing.

Indeed Platt, was an upbeat interview which bodes well. Management obv talk up their own company, but it gives hope of an expected re-rate in the share price

Ditto, thanks Meanreverter.

Good interview, and although he's just like many AIM directors as in nose in trough, HUM have done ok to get to two operating mines and soon around 200k oz a year production.

Been too many banana skins at Yani to give HUM a big well done, but the future looks promising.

I like that he's basically said Q1 is good, and he's expecting Q2 to be just as good. Hinted that Y/E target looks very achievable, which given Q4 28k oz, it certainly should be.

PS. Polaris, 230k is not small fry

As much as Betts is a 'player', that is a decent interview.

Yanfolila will be lower production than historical but if they can extend mine life then i completely agree with potential.

All you have to do Dan is deliver Kouroussa! ;-)

I've only 230k shares here, been adding since the placement with CIG on the back of potential. I'll add more if they can deliver some stability on production.

What makes you think the Q1 results are going to be bad? Q4 last year where good and gold is averaging higher than then. Everything seems to be pointing towards a cracking Q1.

BT. so you might have some hope of getting even yet with the price of gold playing a strong part, but if I was you if the next set of results are as bad as I expect and gold does a reversal then I'd dumping it and moving elsewhere where you have a better chance of recovering your losses. Both Paf and Shg are doing ok to date.
