#DB... and YTD 1800 near as makes no difference.. :o)

Q3 update was 26.10.2020 ...

Incremental improvement is all we need to see, no blowing the doors off, just a +1,000/+1,500 over the last numbers to bring the AISC down..

Q1-2021 - 22,781 poured 22,019 sold
Q2-2021 - 24,494 (+1,713 ) poured 24,790 (+2,771) sold
Q3 ...?

At just 16p today this could be 26p PDQ with a decent update in line with expectations..?

Those thefts went on for 5 years and were only idenentified by the auditors spot check, prior to signing off the fins. If it wasn't for the sheer luck of the draw they'd still be going on. That fired manager has 2 million in the bank and is considering himself unlucky.

john

Take a look @ SRB.

Theft issues spotted late but now behind events. Another undervalued gem IMV.

See what I mean? "As predicted by the company" ??????? over 5 years ago didn't the Ceo here make the promise:- "We aim to provide share holder value?" And wasn't the share price at that time 39p? ROFLMAO

I do quite well from holding stocks on fundamentals when the market is in a bad mood. I hold a reasonable amount of HUM. I see no reason to sell. If the AISC goes as predicted by the company I may even but although there is always concentration risk to be concerned about.

January2 I'm amazed at some of the comments on the LSE bb from "intelligent" punters. Quote:- "Long term I think it could do very well" How long are you considering? 20 years? 50 years? After 5 years since "mine completion on time and on budget" unfortunately this "well oiled Swiss watch" is a complete disaster. Stick your money in the PO. At 2% interest it's still better value than this dog.

seagreen Your observations are 100% correct. Making money in the markets these days is difficult enough without some company owners/brokers deliberately providing misleading information for their own greedy gains. It needs to stop.

ChirpyCheep quote:- "can you explain why Cora is up 50% over the last year" My starter for 10 so I'll have a shot at that one. Bert Monro?

FYI

Assuming HUM does 100,000 oz at AISC of $1,350 for 2021, its expected worst case, that would imply a second half AISC of $1273. Still a nicely profitable mine and, I hope, that the AISC will continue to decline in 2022. Naturally, with HUM, the market is taking nothing on trust.

BT my experience with my own terriers are that they are very persistant and ususally only make a noise when they discover something.

I often have no idea why they are right but thank you for your constant rustling in the bushes and saving those that listened a lot of pain.

cheers

It's made it into this screen now:
Free Cash Flow Cows is a deep value bargain strategy inspired by the investment writer, Jae Jun at Old School Value. It looks for companies that appear to be cheaply priced compared to the amount of free cash flow they generate.

I hope the 2021 figures will hugely demonstrate the cash making monster that HUM is, so IF guidance is maintained, some scenarios include

- say 100Koz/yr, avg selling 1750, AISC 1350, then unadjusted full yr EBITDA $40m
- say 100Koz/yr, avg selling 1750, AISC 1250, then unadjusted full yr EBITDA $50m
- change to 110Koz/yr and that goes unadjusted full yr EBITDA $44m/$55m

On this basis alone makes HUM look stupidly cheap imo.

Unless Dan works for all the other goldies that have seen their share price decline significantly then it's probably not Dan.

HUM is unloved at the moment as is the sector so all investor can go on is
1. Is company solvent - yes
2. Is company profitable - yes
3. Is there a plan to increase profits and assets via exploration - Yes

Now every company has it's own issues and like many HUM operate in Africa which can be, and often is a bit dodgy politically. Weather is an issue too and HUM had a problem there once but so far seem to have learnt from that.

I don't see $100m funding for Kouroussa as an issue, as HUM have indicated they can get a loan quite easily imo, and they generate sufficient cash to fund a loan, and CEO is on the record that Kouroussa will be funded by cash and loan.

SP is very disappointing but assuming the company continue to improve grades, throughput, AISC and profits, plus progress Kouroussa and continue to have good exploration results, then barring a geopolitical issue this is a very sound investment
