borderterrier, is there a reason, you have only ever posted on the HUM board? Is this the only company you are interested in?

Nothing informative here. Into the bin.

Good post DB thanks - they are simply top quality EV/EBITDA ratio projection numbers.
No wonder share price has already doubled in last 6 months, and should be much more to come.

DB Thanks for bringing this to our attention, lets all hope it isn't another "nail in the coffin" for the share price here? Good news never does this share price any good and educated projections from brokers/others have routinely predicted "the shares should rise strongly" many times over the last three years. I hope you are right, but my gut feeling is that this latest bad news isn't going to do the share price any favours? Only time will tell.

This could be scaring off potential investors:

However, their gold mine is some 800 miles away, about the same length as from the north coast of Scotland to the south coast of England. The CEO has several times stated that the north of Mali is dangerous, but the south is safe. Let's hope it stays that way.

My guesstimate of EBITDA at $1,500 gold is that EV/EBITDA for 2019 will be circa 2.5 times at 25p, at a discount, perhaps, due to the above. By the time we see the first half of 2020-and drop out the very poor first half of 2019, the then latest 12 months will lower that to circa 0.6 times. Between here and there the shares should rise strongly.. Obviously, the gold price and the grammes per tonne figures are key to this guesswork..

kennyp52 If you knew how many shares I had you would think it is worth the bleating. The point I make is that many of us invested here because according to all the "information" it was an attractive bet. Lots of us fell for it and lots more still are. Posters like Fsj and New_buyer doggedly continue to support this even though the share price behaves irrationally. The subject matter of most of posts from the investors here are along the same lines:- "What the FK is the problem with the SP?" If what andrewsr says is correct, why no interest?

There are risks like every other company, but unlike 90+% of the others, Hum are generating very good cash flow today, which should continue for 5 years more with the likelihood of another 5+ years confirmed in the near future - that's fairly solid, compared to most others.

Sell them then and move on ? My point is this is not a solid investment ... never has been ... probably never will be . It’s a gamble where you might bag a profit here and there or lose the fekin lot so it’s not worth all the bleating

kennyp52 A bit of profit? Lots of us thought that but I doubt it here. And it also means that it is impossible to do any sort of research. The glowing testimonials from brokers, company mouthpieces etc. have all turned out to be worthless B/S at the expense of the investors. Poor old Golden Bull (who was advised by his STOCKBROKER to invest here at 39p) still believes there will be a move N. Unfortunately, I'm afraid I don't particularly feel like chuckling about that.

It makes me chuckle when investors moan about speculative investments in debt ridden gold miners that can’t pay dividends thinking they can 10 bag then moan constantly about the share price . It is what it is and one day you might wake up to a bit of profit .

Gold motoring again...through $1,500.....may start to see this reflected in HUM SP?

Plasybryn I agree, highly commendable. But, the buck stops at the Ceo doesn't it? Mistakes were made that IMO could have been avoided. I can't remember the exact figure, but doesn't the Ceo here get a half million annual salary? For that amount, how experienced is he? And by comparison, (over a similar time frame) I tipped Anglo Asian Mining (AAZ) on the LSE bb about two years ago. Now those guys can operate a gold mine! But perhaps in this case, April 1st is significant?

The Chairman said:- It was pleasing to see Hummingbird emerge as a commercially operating gold miner on time and budget on 1 April 2018. The achievements made by the team to progress from a Liberian private explorer to a Malian gold producer in eight years are impressive and I think it is important to recognise the significance of this achievement. A huge number of people came together and put an enormous amount of effort into making this happen and the Board wishes to express their thanks to everyone involved.

Plasybryn If what you say is correct, after this length of time, why don't more investors have confidence here? This share price is now back to where it was after the long awaited Q3 update. That hardly shows management confidence does it? Just how patient do investors need to be here? Another three years before it is worth more than it was as a hole in the ground?

moneyfornothing1 That's good, but then why does he keep replying to me? Strange. I have been investing successfully for many years and I'm afraid I get frustrated when some investors doggedly and irrationally support an obviously poorly run company. Hope it improves.

NB Hooked again? With you it's soooooo easy! Any we know from your past track record that "offering me a bet" won't work and in any case what would it prove? Please take a look at the share price and comments from other long time investors here. It shouldn't be too hard for even you to figure it out.

Links to the board, is this the boards black clouds latest conspiracy theory? Brilliant!!

Maybe I should offer him a bet to prove I’m not but we all know how he hurriedly backs out of them at the last minute!!

Links to the board, exquisite!! What a fool.

Strange that having read GoldenBull’s posts and that of RetiredBanker’s they seem to differ quite a lot from your own Borderterrier. Not sure why you are espousing their views are similar to yours when they are in fact more like New_Buyers!! Neither have blamed the Board or CEO which you do on an almost daily basis.

I’m getting used to your disingenuous postings. Do you honestly think that somehow New_Buyer has links to the board of HUM?

andrewsr Please read Golden Bull and retired bankers posts on the LSE bb. Although New-Buyer considers me to be a fool, in fact he considers anyone who dares to say anything remotely negative about this a fool. There seems to be a lot of us about.
