I'm surprised at the negative reception of the trading update. I hardly hold these at the moment, and on reading the RNS I assumed I had missed out.

I see the CFO is leaving and has been replaced. Also that another large dollop of shares has gone into treasury for their various bonus/incentive schemes, while I am still losing on my zero div. shares. It would be nice to get a positive return on my capital one way or another.

Nice update.

"The Group also expects to report a significant expansion in gross margins to in excess of 67% (FY 2017: 62%) driven by portfolio optimisation of both products and services. Additionally, EBITDA before exceptional items is expected to be positive and ahead of market expectations. The Group cash balance of not less than £25 million is also well ahead of expectations, as a result of higher gross margins, cost discipline and a focus on debtor collection."

Sadly those very big trades are all sells; share price up over 3% so hopefully profit taking.

A trading update is due very soon (it's usually the last week of January or very early February in previous years).

Some very big trades have been going through all morning.

So Value Act have upped their stake to 14.3% and appointed a NED. What should we read into that?

The latest MIT Technology Review: Vol 121 No.6 Nov/Dec 2018 - "The Precision Medicine Issue" makes fascinating reading for anyone with an interest in healthcare trends.

Could well inform investing decisions too :)

Not convinced that a technical webinar is going to lead to share price movement!

This has been very quiet in the last few days.

However the CRISPR webinar on the 7th November might just kick start some upward momentum in the share price.

Excellent plug. All it leaves out is why Woodie sold. Perhaps he knows something Value Act doesn't.

It is the perception of good value - ValueAct would not be doubling their stake to 10% if they did not regard HZD as good value so I am happy as a long term holder to see their support of the Company.

Happier this morning to see they have upped their stake to 13.3%.
