really weak today as are most gold stocks ignoring gold price . Similar situation in OZ in recent days as gold stocks struggling and difficult to hold rises made in recent months . looks ominous but things might change next week hopefully !

Agreed, lower input costs (oil price) and every cent increase in the price of gold or silver, drops straight to the bottom line... Even if they are cack handed at getting it out of the ground, it hardly matters!

everybody has a view...

I hold a few of these now

lots of bods want some exposure to precious metal stocks but shy away from the minnows and small caps so a company like HOC ticks a lot of boxes

This one hit 6-700 p back during the last silver bull run, and I can see that exceeded this time around, albeit with a timeframe of the next 5 years
Dividends from now to then will be re-invested by me and many others
So that lovely combination of capital growth and dividend re-investment make for a compelling investment case for me

HOC has some prize assets, and these are only going to be worth more and more as fiat currencies devalue

Bonkers, look at the chart, it's relentless, it might stop for a breather, but we're not even at the three year high yet, we should be double that, given the current precious metal prices...

drago, 20% + costs in a week is a sight better than 5% divi in 12 months which a few prefer. If I had 6 or 7 figures to play with I would sit on a few but not all, would still keep 1/2 to trade when the opportunity arises, but I don't as I spend it when I have accumulated a bit. as you can't take it with you and am dammed if I'm leaving it for others, they can go out there and make their own. Gold in my book will reach 2,400 before it thinks about it and possibly higher if the world hasn't got it's house in order and silver, well with the world going hell for leather to electrify everything then you need 2 things, copper wire and solder, solder is usually silver these days as lead is going out of fashion due to it's drawback of poisoning you slowly. No doubt I will buy back in here at some point when it takes a breather.

ifthecapfits, well I wasn't waiting any longer. You know what they say "He who hesitates2. So sold out and put n the bank. Paid for my wood stove and central heating in my new house.. I hesitated too many times before in years past and lost out rather then winning, so this time if that magic number is hit, it goes.

I am surprised that Hoc has not yet decided to restart Arcata, at current silver prices it should be quite profitable.

Have top-sliced and am happy with a full weighting @ 144p cost. Relaxed here after
the carve-ups at POG (still got a few) and HGM.
