Still sitting at large discount to NAV though.

Super Micro computer their largest holding trebled since start of year and will be nearly 10% of nav now unless they offloaded. They have a stake in Bango which is recovering after an unjustified sell off.

Very strong run since Nov, now up 25% + and at a 2 year high. Very encouraging.

I've been holding this one for years, since about £4 and continue to drip a bit in monthly. My opinion is, not only do we have the tech / AI growth but also the big players will look to buy smaller IT companies to get hold of tech and patents. Long-term I believe this will continue to pay off.

Apparently a low life arb has taken a position here, sad little people who have never helped a business, unlike hri who have been a lifeblood to many early stage businesses.

Todays approach at smart space software at a 130% premium shows the value in small software businesses ....Hri owns lots of these companies. Well worth a punt imo

about 17% discount to NAV and presumably some unquoted investments or market thinks it is warranted at this bearish time with rising interest rates . Chart suggests more downside sadly

Still here! Would have thought there would be more interest in the trust with all the tech narratives currently about in the market.

One company where HRI own 6.7% is exciting CyanConnode, very active in India - but at 0.24% of HRI assets it's unlikely to have a lot of impact - the nature of diverse trusts.....

The annual financial report released this morning has breakdowns by countries and sectors in which it invests, and also the top 20 holdings

Yep. Bought it at issue and it went to an initial discount at 95p. Been a great double digit compounder over the years and the bottom has probably been seen in small caps.

On the way back up.

Small cap tech stocks - unloved for the last year - are again showing their legs

I've topped up this morning. I like the big discount and they have a lot of cash to invest as well, so should find opportunities and if not, they can continue buying back the shares. The portfolio is a lot less UK centric than when I last looked. Widening the investment scope should mean better results.

Seems to have given it a good kick after yesterday's 1580p.
If there is an accepted bid then Herald could buy more of its own shares to close the huge discount.

Yes was just checking that good news for HRI and it sure needs some, unfortunately not a concentrated portfolio I think only about $30M of GBG shares. Not enough for the share price to leg up anyway.

Discount 24% plus large holding in GB group which might be subject to a bid
