20/12/2019 17:54 | Maybe folk have switched some profits to SMT, which has had a good run this week | spangle93
20/12/2019 17:03 | While the NAV has gone to 1656p, the share price has come back to 1458p - thus returning to ~200p below NAV (~12% below). | weatherman
18/12/2019 06:52 | The massive political and economic risk of a left-wing Corbyn government has now evaporated. This had made the UK uninvestable for most overseas buyers and had made the UK markets the very worst performer of 2019 and earlier. By any standards, the UK market has become extraordinarily cheap. With political de-risking and a solid pro-business Johnson government, overseas money has already started to flood back into the UK. Top-rated funds and investment trusts, such as Herald, will be major early beneficiaries of this rapid flood of overseas money back into the UK markets. Good Luck All. ALL IMO. DYOR. 18/12/2019 06:16 | Some chunky buys after hours yesterday | shavian
17/12/2019 09:36 | Discounts have been getting squeezed across the board on trusts holding UK domestic stocks since October. I keep reading that UK stocks, small caps in particular, are trading at a discount compared to global peers. Can only think that traders are piling in, anticipating that valuation gap to close. Seems to me we'd need to see the NAV heading north at a decent clip to hold on to the gains, but who knows. Sterling is already pulling back from the recent highs. | psync
17/12/2019 08:19 | The discount has closed from about the normal 12 to 20% range to about 7 or 8%. Not seen this for ages if ever. How come? | amt
16/12/2019 19:59 | 1510p on the bid at close means that HRI breaches a £1bn mkt cap for the first time. And noting that its share count is down a few million over recent years as it buys them in at a discount every so often. In fact on Dec 2 it bought 130k at 1411p - every little helps compound out our returns! | rambutan2
13/12/2019 16:59 | Net Asset Value as at 12 Dec including current year income 1599.94p | davebowler
13/12/2019 08:56 | Yes great stuff. Closing that discount! | dplewis1
13/12/2019 08:55 | Wow. Look at that graph today after the election result. New all-time high again for Herald. Up 5.4% at 9am at 1490p | quepassa
10/12/2019 17:29 | Net Asset Value as at 9 December 2019 Net Asset Value - including current year income 1600.54p | davebowler
25/11/2019 17:11 | Today's close marks a NEW ALL TIME HIGH for Herald. And deservedly so. Well done Ms. Potts and team! ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
22/11/2019 13:35 | NAV is around 1600p - price at 1350p, nearly 16% discount. | weatherman
01/11/2019 20:16 | Goodness knows what Katie Potts thought as the watched the Woodford Patient Capital saga from start to finish. HRI is run in a truly patient capital manner and should be lauded for it. | rambutan2
01/11/2019 07:50 | The small-cap sector is generally a little under the cosh at the moment - and the Woodford affair is a major contributor to negative sector sentiment- but the quality and resilience of Herald continues to shine through and impress. Just how wise to have a truly diversified portfolio with no oversize investments in illiquid holdings. When you consider that NAV is 1563p versus a current share price of 1295, the discount of 20% leaves a lot of room for compression and the share looks attractive. ALL IMO. DYOR QP | quepassa
01/11/2019 07:36 | Increasingly good news from ITM should feed through to HRI share price before long. | shavian
16/10/2019 05:46 | Thanks for that dave. A good detailed argument for holding. | robsy2
19/7/2019 09:28 | I've held this for donkeys years now, has been a great investment. Still trades at an 18% discount as well! | dplewis1
19/7/2019 08:47 | Great results out this morning. 17% NAV rise in last 6 months | spangle93
24/6/2019 09:31 | The last two months have seen Herald repeatedly breach several new ALL-TIME HIGHS. Against a very indifferent market - and especially so in the small-cap sector- ,this is outstanding and remarkable performance from an excellent fund manager. At this morning's near 1370p offer, yet another ATH all-time high. Well done indeed to Herald. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
07/6/2019 10:10 | long term holder in ths well run trust with an impressive track record topped up today | gilesy |
