06/1/2014 13:54 | more sources on here than a mcdonalds restaurant, oex is flying, thanks for the tip knigle | steveglobal4
06/1/2014 13:48 | Good point bc4 however I will wait for a dip and then consider an investment. Not buying on a peak :-) | leopold555
06/1/2014 13:39 | Wise yeah no probs just my way of pointing out to any newbies what a brilliant job the management are doing, the fact they raised 60 mil at 5.2p which was above market price says it all | bc4
06/1/2014 13:16 | What you say is true bc4 but my point is that there is not, as yet, a single broker's note on the company. When there is (as is deserved)the share price will take off. | wiseacre
06/1/2014 12:39 | Look the management say what is needed when needed look at the 9 months all the info you could need and more they are doing a fantastic job IMHO | bc4
06/1/2014 12:31 | The recent placing and accompanying announcement suggested they are about to acquire a legal firm to complement their existing business. The management is very shy on the IR/PR front and current broker coverage is close to nil. I believe there is very considerable upside in 2014. | wiseacre
06/1/2014 12:22 | Thanks Wiseacre I am heavily invested in QPP which is going to main listing in March 2014. They have appointed new brokers, took on a non chairman experienced in this field and have built the Mkt cap to 1 billion so I was wondering what preparations this company have made and what timeframe to go to FTSE? | leopold555
06/1/2014 11:42 | wiseacre Full listing very hard to fathom. They have just moved to AIM from a full listing. But when they did that I assumed that they were effectively putting themselves up for sale. But the placing now makes it look like they are going for an acquisition or joint venture. | nicky name
06/1/2014 11:26 | Leopold, my source comes from within an investment bank but I can't say further than that. | wiseacre
06/1/2014 11:22 | Will it break 6p and stay above or is that a step too far at this stage. I think that when 6p is properly breached, it should move up fast from there. | joesoap3
06/1/2014 11:00 | Where did you hear that please wiseacre? | leopold555
06/1/2014 10:58 | I have heard the company is planning a full LSE listing. Any views? | wiseacre
06/1/2014 10:44 | YAWN well that has cheered me up no end | bc4
06/1/2014 10:37 | For Clarity, I have no position yet and I am interested in investing. I only have two other shares QPP and GBO. I am very over exposed in both and sitting on a profit but want to spread the risk. So I am only looking into the balance sheet and wondering what creative accounting is taking place before investing my hard earned money that is all. I am not deramping it or shorting etc. Leo | leopold555
06/1/2014 10:25 | With recent speadex selling, it looks like one neurotic spread better or other has shot his bolt too early, i wonder who that is? | oldtown
06/1/2014 10:07 | STEVE G what a politicians answer that is, last time what do you think HHR are worth and do you hold any? | bc4
06/1/2014 10:06 | Agree Goliard. 'Debt' is not necessarily something to fear once you know how it is managed and also how it relates in cash terms. A lot of the time these are accounting elements to balance the sheet (something I'm still a novice at but am learning). I can't see how a companies like HHR work without 'debt' (initially anyway) the key thing has to be the Net position for both Cash and NAV and if both are positive and rising then I can't see a problem. IMO that is. | greenroom78
06/1/2014 09:57 | Greenroom, yes. Total fleet debt was only £14.9m last June. That is the debt that StevieG was referring to when he said 'hundreds of millions of debt'. It will probably be reduced further by now, but where they use HP to get new cars it will exist to some extent. The big point however is (as you rightly point out) Net Debt, and there is no Net Debt whatsoever now. Now Stevie Wonder has been proved wrong he is going back under his rock again. Sad. | goliard
06/1/2014 09:54 | I simply said im sick of reading on here that hhr have no debt, as this is not correct I have no other comments to make on hhr at this time. | steveglobal4
06/1/2014 09:47 | The big boys increasing there stakes STEVE G reducing his I will follow the big boys, STEVE G what I don't get is you said on here you thought HHR were worth north of 10p well they are only 6p what do you think they are worth? | bc4
06/1/2014 09:35 | Any company renting cars will always have huge debt but the cars are an asset to offset the debt. Basic accounting not a debt problem | vikingwarrier
06/1/2014 09:34 | Look a few weeks back when STEVEG was in HHR he was playing a totally different tune what has changed STEVEG? I will tell you what the share price has risen over 15% and you sold out. This why I nicknamed him THE CHAMELEON ! | bc4
06/1/2014 09:23 | I bought in last week and feel I want to add my two cents to this 'debt' debate. HHR had debt (as of the last results). You only have to look at the balance sheet to see that. 'Net Cash' means that the sum of Cash, equivalents & short term borrowings is positive. Borrowings and Liabilities are reducing nicely though. edit: and reading Goliard's post sound like they have been fully paid down. | greenroom78
06/1/2014 09:22 | Steveg simple question again do you have any HHR? not long ago you said you were after 3% yeah you told everyone on this BB that you had bean approached for your stake | bc4
06/1/2014 09:19 | Hopefully this will end this nonsense. This is from the Final Results (showing position at end of June 2013) and of course the position is much better now. Total net cash at 30 June 2013 was GBP1.1m and this compares with net debt of GBP110.8m at 30 June 2012. This comprised fleet related funding of GBP14.9m (30 June 2012: GBP43.8m) and other corporate borrowings of GBP5.2m (30 June 2012: GBP69.1m) net of unamortised bank facility arrangement fees, and GBP21.2m cash on hand (2012: GBP2.1m): Audited Audited 12 months ended 12 months ended 30 June 2013 30 June 2012 GBPm GBPm -------------------- Fleet Finance leases 12.3 39.1 Fleet facility 2.6 4.7 -------------------- Total fleet debt 14.9 43.8 -------------------- Corporate Working capital loans - 25.0 Term loan - 29.4 Share purchase loan - 7.5 Mortgages 5.1 8.3 Finance leases 0.1 0.3 Unamortised debt arrangement fees - (1.4) -------------------- Total corporate debt 5.2 69.1 -------------------- Total debt 20.1 112.9 Cash (21.2) (2.1) -------------------- Net (cash) /debt (1.1) 110.8 -------------------- Since the year end all of the amounts shown above in respect of mortgages have been extinguished as a result of disposals of the underlying assets held for sale at that date and contractual amortisations of debt. Sorry it doesn't display well, but the bigger debt figures are from the previous year and the small figures are for this year. THERE IS NO NET DEBT AT ALL AND THAT IS WHAT HELPHIRE SAY WHEN YOU RING THEM OR SPEAK TO THEIR BROKERS. | goliard |
