I may be a newbie on these BBs but even I've noticed that the likes of maak and Davethehorse appear to be scaremongers who seem to take smug delight in other's misfortune. Maybe we should refer to them as the Private Fraser brigade ("We're all dooooomed ! Dooomed !"). They may be right or wrong, (pure chance either way) but I don't suspect their remarks are at all useful, or based on anything other than pure mischief making. Just look at any of their comments in the BBs, very rarely (if ever) backed up by links to factual articles. I rarely use filter, but would in this case. Unhelpful noise IMO.

Isis

How have shareholders been shafted?? HMG has just paid 113p for a share in the Bank - valued today in the 70p's. Your statement is ust a cheap throwaway soundbite with no facts to back it up. Get back to the bar!

Halifax sharedealing, so holding over the weekend isn't a problem, im happy with my price

Why would this be nationalised? the vote is today, the government can't even afford to nationalise it

FSTE 2.7% down and asia markets down over 5% over the failed bailout for the US car company's
