Some massive trades today - 1.55m shares in two after hours trades alone.

Had a scout around to see if there's any news. What appears to have gone under the radar (or my radar at least), is Haydale's launch of a new type of greener HDPE.

"Haydale’s nanomaterial enhanced masterbatch is a highly loaded mixture of a bespoke nanomaterial in
High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), designed to deliver improvements to mechanical performance using
nanomaterial reinforcement and enable lightweighting of plastic products; a key driver to reducing the
carbon footprint of plastics and improving their environmental impact and sustainability."

See Plastic Masterbatch:

They're basically saying it's harder, better, faster, stronger and lowers the plastic carbon footprint. The HDPE market is massive - bottles, piping, cutting boards, bins, bags, toys, etc.

Haydale's latest LinkedIn post makes positive reference to scalability (i.e large orders will be met).

Announcement incoming?

Got out at 8p yesterday.
Probably better bet than AGM looks at the moment tho.
Might be back in if I can get under 7p without news.

Good morning
Quite a deal of interest in these today. No new reason, yet.

Neither I don't suppose - looks like a read-across from VRS, as garth says. I'm surprised there wasn't more price reaction over there, but that's hobbled by a wall of Lanstead shares that block any move.

That business wasn't worth anything anyway, hence the lack of an RNS, so I guess investors are just looking sector-wide for alternative plays.

This made interesting reading over the weekend.(For those who don't know, New Atlas is an online 'daily'that highlights tech developments) With Gelp's posting above in mind, I decided to do a search on Viritech on Companies House website and was delighted to find that one of the NEDs was Mr Graham Eves - one of Haydale's NEDs - who was appointed to Viritech 21st March this year. Viritech.co.uk also makes interesting reading, and with the Japanese government looking to hydrogen cars to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, exciting times could be lying ahead. The CTO has worked with BAC Auto, a company that has a close relationship with our company,

Hi you only need to retain EIS for 3 years to maintain income tax benefit. BPR would also be retained as AIM stock. So only CGT rollover a consideration.

Has anybody noticed the remarkable announcement about the research grant to enable storage tanks for Hydrogen fuel. Surely even a modicum of success will be game changing for that application alone.

Since the loan, announced but 4 days ago, was for the purchase of a machine to increase Haydale's own manufacturing capacity substantially, I woild venture to suggest that the company is not in the position to 'gift' any machine.

I attended a shareholders' Open Day some years back, in Ammanford, and remember being told then that that the machines are manufactured in Denmark by Tantec, modified by Haydale to its patented design, and suspect therefore that would be a licence payment and/or subsequent royalties on throughput. I suspect that the quantum of such payments is commercially sensitive which is why nothing has been said in the announcement.

Thought had crossed my mind as well, cerrito. 401 not for profit? There must be some monetary benefit otherwise why bother put it to RNS? Perhaps royalties from future sales from this other company?

I note that today's RNS has produced a big yawn both with participants of this board and the share price.
While there is obviously more good news than bad news here I could not fathom how HAYD will be benefitting and if they are selling or gifting the machine.
