05/7/2019 17:34 | Timbo. Got any idea what 25kg represents as a percentage of the total panel/structure weight? | hashertu
05/7/2019 17:17 | >>monster, there was one interesting snippet of news this week from one of Haydale's partners, i.e. the launch of the BAC Mono R at the Goodwood Speed festival BAC and their partners (Haydale and Pentaxia) received a NVM grant (Sept 2018) to "undertake research on innovative, lightweight material graphene, with a view to pushing the technology towards production-readiness for the automotive industry", so I would guess this was at least part funded by the grant. According to the news release, there is graphene-enhanced carbon fibre in every body panel for the first time in a production road car. They have also seem to have achieved impressive light-weighting over the standard BAC mono with the R weighing in at 25Kg lighter and I would assume that a significant portion of the weight reduction comes from employing graphene enhanced body panels | timbo003
05/7/2019 14:11 | Any News due People? Very quiet on here:( | monster500
02/7/2019 08:20 | What did they tell you to make you buy these at £2 / share Tom ? | p@
30/6/2019 15:43 | >>>>know Yes, I spoke to one in particular, the end use was a security application using one of haydale's graphene inks (probably the same one that they show cased recently with a mobile app to check for conterfeiting) >>>Cerrito Welcome aboard, I guess I will now be seeing you are yet another AGM in the future 😀 | timbo003
30/6/2019 11:25 | Excellent Timbo. Many thanks. You mention that the event was visited by some customers. Did you manage to network with any of these and understand better wherein their interests lay? | knownowt
30/6/2019 09:54 | timbo003, as a new recruit here I appreciate this input. Thanks | cerrito
30/6/2019 08:24 | Haydale held an open day at the Manchester GEIC last Wednesday (June 26th) which was attended by a number of Directors, Staff, Customers, Supporters and Investors (including myself). There were short presentations by James Baker (CEO, for the GEIC) and Keith Broadbent (CEO, Haydale) followed by Q&As, lunch and then a tour of the facilities. There was plenty of time and opportunity for networking with other attendees over lunch, as well as before and after the event. I picked up a quite few interesting nuggets during the day, see brief notes below: The market has underestimated the importance of the announcement concerning Haydale’s new process which enables significant increases in functionalization (up to 18%), for example graphene with increased oxygen functionalization could replace graphene oxide in a number of applications, thus avoiding the detrimental impact of employing Hummers method (or similar) for graphene oxide production. Haydale’s new Composite Transition Piece (CTP) came about through a joint development with National Grid (with Haydale owning the resulting IP and supplying the CTP units). NG are also the initial adopters for the CTP and they are proving excellent advocates which will assist sales to other utilizes worldwide. NG’s own cost benefit analysis suggests savings of over £200K over the anticipated lifetime of the CTP (50 years), there are also additional, less quantifiable benefits, such as improved safely for operatives and environmental benefits. The exact price charged for each CTP to NG has not been disclosed (my estimate: a low five figure sum) but given the anticipated cost savings, pricing for other utilities is likely to be significantly higher (my estimate: 3 – 5X higher than for NG). NG intend to install 60 of these units over the next 5 years or so and there is a potential to employ more around NG’s network (300 ?) in future years. The potential market in the USA would be much greater than the UK (circa 30X), with each unit likely to command a much higher price. One problem for the suppliers of Graphene and other nano materials, is that many of the large potential composite customers have their own secret ingredients and recipes which give some degree of improvement in properties which they have not yet incorporated into their products. Therefore the addition of graphene or other nano materials needs to give incremental improvements above and beyond those seen for composites employing these secret ingredients/recipes, in order to have any chance of adoption. This situation is not helped by some of their previous experiences with graphene, which due to poor dispersion, failed to deliver the necessary improvement in composite properties on a consistent basis. The old engineer’s maxim that non-viscous liquids are easier to work with that viscous liquids definitely holds true for graphene inks and composites. Haydale have characterized approximately 300 different graphene and identified around three which are suitable for high end applications in inks and composites, the rest are exclude because they either do not work on a reliable basis, or there is no reliable supply chain, or they are too expensive to justify their use in the end application evisaged by the customer. The work with Flowtite and Huntsman is still ticking along, the amount Haydale have learned from these projects was described as immense and they have been applying the know-how gained into other projects with other customers. All projects where Haydale engage with GEIC must have an end application and have a reasonable chance of making money, therefore they will require sign off at a high level (CEO or marketing Director). The GEIC plasma reactors have (will have) a limited number of presets for the functionalization process, this is to protect Haydale’s intellectual property and their know how acquired over many years. Haydale do not provide any customers with a free service for evaluation and feasibility work. All such work is charged as on a fee for service basis. There are discussions on going about commissioning and building a new tech facility to complement the GEIC, some wag has christened it with the acronym NERD (North East materials Research and Development center, or something along those lines). GEIC do not intend to become part of supply chains for industry, they do envisage earning revenue from royalties (eventually) from their IP. They could eventually end up with 12 – 15 tier one partners and perhaps 50 tier two partners many of whom will probably come and go, depending on need. | timbo003

23/5/2019 15:38 | Does anybody have experience with brokers X-O(by jarvis) or iweb-sharedealing(by halifax)??? As ii have increased theres fees again(from £22.50 a quarter to £80, along with the poorly designed website, its time I finally left them. Both x-o and iweb have a simple flat trade fee of £5.95 per trade and have no monthly/yearly admin fees or inactivity fees. | carlsagan1
23/5/2019 14:16 | I have also added over a million today. | ultra capital
23/5/2019 13:33 | What's your thinking here pal? There are so many shares in issue it can hardly rank as an earnings story to justify a high P/E. But there may be very valuable IP and perhaps potential to sell it via trade sale. If you have suddenly scooped up 1.5m you must have a view it is in oversold territory. | meijiman
23/5/2019 13:27 | Took another 500k | phoenix equity
23/5/2019 12:45 | Bought 1 million under 2.5p | phoenix equity
23/5/2019 12:44 | Whats going on here then? News? | ciminna
19/5/2019 18:33 | Agree.not saying ur wrong but could with a bit of background. Is Haydale a buy/sell at this level? What about VRS..ditto. I have heard very differing views on that one from people I respect..which is unusual. I'm in the not sure camp on both of these. | meijiman |
