'We can not understate'?

Perfectly possible to 'understate'. Is this guy an idiot ?

It appears that Haydale is practically a subsidiary co of Huntsman Advanced Materials. If not then very reliant. A great step for Haydale but what does it do to the share. The company chugs along with no ambition for dividend. Never very dynamic with news or progress we'll just keep steady in a £1.60 to £2.00 range.

A similar history in price is PRSM which I hold and has jumped recently like Hayd did.
But its future is much more dynamic.
IMO DYOR

It was an informative AGM.

I has a few concerns going in but the questions I asked around those concerns were all adequately answered and I am now feeling quite upbeat about Haydale's prospects.

I was at another AGM this morning (Sareum) which I will have to write up first, so the Haydale notes will probably not appear until the weekend.

TimboWhat was your take on theAGM? Didn't sound too exciting to judge by the RNS. Lots of talk to partners, no significant product announcements and, oh yes, two high profile departures. Don't want to knock a promising Welsh high tech business, but it Does not sound too good in the short term

You may me right, I'm in for the longer term whether I like it or not due to the EIS tax relief, but I don't feel inclined to sell anyway and will ride the waves. It's the AGM tomorrow (which I will attend)so there may be an acompanying trading update

It went down to 120 last March-April.
No-one knew why.
I sold and bought back in at 130p

"The agreement provides Huntsman with the exclusive worldwide rights to market, distribute and sell a range of its resins enhanced with Haydale functionalised graphene. "

What does a range mean?
Haydale have handed marketing to Huntsman?

Just popped back as I noticed you have seller. My guess is Octopus as they sold a few 100 to get to 8.99 and can now sell 1% without notifying until 8% etc. Note the large sells since Oct 21st/24th.

Don't panic plenty of funds doing this on small caps currently. As I have found out on others, perhaps not good if it is them and they want rid of the lot, but that seems to be the reason for the turn in the chart it matches up.

As I have said elsewhere and will say on here so the CEO can see it.

Where are they going to get the supply of few layer GNPs from for strength, in large numbers they simply don't exist and that is a major problem for him and the deal.

Then how are Hayd going to pay for large quantities of few layer GNPs, they are not cheap, but then as they don't exist in large numbers not a problem.

Check the key issues he states. 'Security of supply' and he says himself not all GNPs are the same and some are cheap for a reason.

In fact what Haydale call GNPs will end up being Grapphite nano platelets because at certain layer levels (10 plus) they start to lose the abilty to add significant gains in strength to materials.

If haydale need GNPs or rather graphite nano for thermal or proeprties other than strenght then it's less of a problem. If they are after them for top end significant strength gain then it's a major problem as that is few layer GNPs or as Hayd call them FLPs.

You can break those down again to 5-10 and 1-5 average with 1-5 being the best for enhancement on strength. I'd say single layer is best but there is no point as none is available for the industry, single layer top end sheets cost about £2000 per gram to produce.

Tips don't seem to move the share. When it went down it dropped drastically.
But now IMO it's stable at 180p and will only rise with good news from the company.

A positive article in Shares magazine [subscription only] this morning detailing the relationship with Huntsman. Conclusion - worth buying @ 186.5p 'albeit recognising the risks over pace of revenue generation and potential future financial constraints'

There's a radio interview with Ray Gibbs at the 14th FIRe conference (Future in Review) which was held from Sept 37th - 30th. Apparently the conference has been described by the Economist as the best technology conference in the world, the interview starts after 25 minutes into the program and lasts for 8 minutes, well worth a listen.

During the interview RG talks about some new applications for Graphene including an application for a Silicon carbide / graphene combination for highly durable automobile brake components which will last for the life time of the car.
