Havelock Europa PLC (HVE.L), the international interior solutions provider, announces that Chief Executive Officer David Ritchie has resigned with immediate effect to pursue other business interests.
Havelock has appointed Shaun Allen Ormrod to replace Mr Ritchie. Mr Ormrod, aged 52, has been Chief Executive Officer of Farnborough International for the past 10 years and will take up his new role at Havelock on 27 September 2017.
Ian Godden, Chairman of Havelock, said:
"The Board would like to thank David for all his hard work over the last three years and wish him every success in his future endeavours. We would also like to welcome Shaun to the board as CEO. I believe that Shaun's significant experience as a chief executive, allied with his relevant design, interiors, and property redevelopment expertise, will be highly valuable to Havelock as we begin to implement a new strategy for the company's future growth later this year."

Shaun Ormrod CV
Mr Ormrod was Chief Executive Officer of Farnborough International Limited from April 2008 until May 2017, and was responsible for the management of the Farnborough International Airshow, a leading global brand in the aerospace and events industry and the biggest event of its kind in the world. He has overseen the development of a new state-of-the-art GBP32m conference and exhibition facility at Farnborough, which is due to open early next year. During his time as CEO, Mr Ormrod was responsible for developing the 20:20 Vision for Farnborough and oversaw a 12% increase in international exhibitors and visitors, as well as a doubling of revenue and a 70% increase in profitability. He also worked with the Bahrain government to launch and run the Bahrain International Airshow.
From 2006 to 2008 Mr Ormrod was General Manager of Alexandra Palace, a facility acquired for redevelopment which included a 300-bed 4-star hotel with a total project value of GBP55m. Before then, he was Group Operations Director for the NEC Group in Birmingham and conducted a GBP40m refurbishment of the group's venues and infrastructure. Prior to that, Mr Ormrod spent nearly seven years as Managing Director of The International Centre in Telford, where he led a business turnaround and grew turnover from GBP6m to GBP13m.
Mr Ormrod graduated from Manchester University with a BA (Hons) in Interior Design. He is married with four children.
