Morning Soul - a bit of profit taking this morning. Nice to see we have some consolidation here forming a solid base for the next leg up, with well over 5% of free float already traded in the first hour!. Whatever caused the buying last week hasn't gone away. When the big boys have drunk their coffee and read their newspapers they will begin hoovering up stock dropped by weak holders.

Isn't it funny. The pumpers are always the ones exiting at well below their ridiculously high target prices. If they state a target price, take it with a pinch of salt and divide by 5, and that will be the price they are really intending to sell at.Lol

+500Show the main post> tappingl - 21 Aug 2016 - 19:39 - 448 of 448 - 0Sorry about all the typos - here's edited version!Charles Clore 14.43 excellent post. Glankatz: you need to be careful; your nervousness will lose you all your £1m scratch card money if you're not careful. Goodness knows I've gambled away near on 170k buying and selling at a loss due to nervousness and lack of patience. Before that I made money just sitting on 3 holdings (and e I sold one of those - providence - in a fit of pique. Only for for it to hit on a huge oil find in the Irish Sea some 2 years later). Remember there's a huge (but also very slim) difference btw gambling and investing. If you're looking for a quick buck you'll end up ganbling (and losing it all). If you're investing sit tight - sometimes that seems like a lifetime if you're checking in hourly and daily but when you look back you'll see it was just a few months (look at fitb or hnr's rises in the last 18 months - they were just a few weeks/months but if you were nervous you might have sold way too early).Of course the trick is knowing when to sell. And there the key there is to set a target and not get greedy (something I'm still learning).,As the naked trader says 'there's always another share'.Ps. If you didn't litter your posts with emojis (or whatever they are) they would be a lot easier to read too!>

I think I will try for a few more tomorrow and hope for a little dip if I'm lucky.
Glen you'd enjoy looking at the Ffwd thread, could be a bit of excitement there for you if you're patient.

Hi all,

Following this with interest, hattip to CharlesClore ex HOC.

Could somebody explain why a major Brazilian multinational such as Vale, with 110,000 employees, should be happy to let its own expensive potash facility run down/out in a couple of years when there's this fantastic new resource nearby ?

Why not just make HMI's principals an 'offer they can't refuse' and keep all the moolah for themselves ?

ATB

Edit : Per Harvest Mineral's website, Vale's adjacent facility (being allowed to die ?) is the ONLY major local producer, Brazil's remaining , considerable potash needs being 90% imported......
