11/12/2014 18:45 | hi tanelorn, cci/ma is a short term indicator that helps decide when to sell or buy. When the selected moving average crosses the cci line a buy or sell signal is made. Like some other indicators the signal is retrospective, so one has to get used to watching it to predict in advance, for example, the likely end of day signal, or potentially miss out on the early part of 'a move'. The parameters can be played with for each stock for fine tuning to cut down spurious signals. Here's adfvn info, This is today's hsp chart. I don't think it will go down to 640 in the near future, but an intraday re-entry at 650/655 might be possible. | bamboo2
11/12/2014 17:05 | Bravo, well done. CCI? | tanelorn
11/12/2014 14:47 | Taken profit here for now. Taking too long to get through 700, CCI says sell. | bamboo2

06/12/2014 19:03 | Yes. i think you'll get it!. I gave a caveat that i may not get back in, before further rises. It's just that you're seldom wrong to take a profit. I may well be ruing the day i sold out too soon, and in which case, good for you. If it drops to 640, i'll try and buy back. I will post it, if and when. | tanelorn
06/12/2014 09:41 | thanks for the info tanelorn, well done on the return. I'll stick this out for the other side of 700. | bamboo2
05/12/2014 11:06 | Bamboo2> Advfn doesn't show all trades in a listed security, other satellite exchanges to LSE, may/may not, be authorised to transact shares for a given company. Also may have listings on other "exchanges" ie OTC in US, This matter was discussed with regard to another share i have an interest in ( Lucara ) which was listed on the Toronto Stock exchange, TSX, but frequently trades were not showing through ADVFN, a helpful chap called Euclid posted the following link to show the tsx satellite offices/exchanges. P.S. Have just sold out, made 15.60%( over 50 days ) and hope for an opportunity to get back-in. If i am unable to rebuy lower, may i wish everyone well for the end of year run. | tanelorn
05/12/2014 10:01 | First INV H&S mid target achieved today intraday. Will be interesting to see how the share price handles the 700 area. | bamboo2
04/12/2014 21:17 | Thanks tanelorn. In all honesty, I could really do with a bit of help with these figures for stock on loan. Simply put, the problem is that the change in the figures on efinancials chart of loan stock do not correlate with daily trading volume. This could be that I am misreading efinancials data or the scale, or that there is some trading volume missing from advfn's archive. Perhaps I even have the wrong chart? lol. I have been share dealing for some time, and I am aware there are probably numerous other explanations. I am unable to display the chart from efinancial, because black posters are blocked from posting images. Any help or advice welcome. | bamboo2
04/12/2014 19:23 | .As per bamboo's post above | tanelorn
04/12/2014 18:31 | Bamboo2, where did you find the short data? | exv
04/12/2014 16:19 | Good couple of days, good for all holders. Well done!. | tanelorn
04/12/2014 08:35 | Here we go...:) | bamboo2
03/12/2014 21:53 | Stock on loan now down to 2.1m. Yesterdays rise due to shorts closing. | bamboo2
02/12/2014 19:52 | With a 3m share buyback in progress and about 2.4m shorts that will need to buy at some point, there is surely going to be a bit of a squeeze sooner or later? [60min chart] [daily chart] | bamboo2
02/12/2014 16:01 | Yes tanelorn, perhaps I should place all my wishes on this bulletin board. :) | bamboo2
02/12/2014 10:50 | Yes slower than i thought, but patience is needed. edited //.. there you go, a slight improvement!. | tanelorn
02/12/2014 09:19 | I wish this would get going! | bamboo2
27/11/2014 13:31 | bench2, just looked at figs for hsp shares on loan. If I am reading correctly, there were 10m on loan in the middle of the year. Now approx 2.3m. I can't display the chart, because, as a black I am restricted. Here is a link, it should display in a new window [ie copy and paste into new window]. Let me know what you think. target='window'>h edit added, Looking at recent trades there do seem to be a large number of very small trades, ie 1's and 2's. How are these trades economic? Surely even very low dealing charges would eat away at potential profits? Unless the dealing cost is effectively free I suppose? | bamboo2
24/11/2014 11:47 | Interesting to note that the company is able to buy in at decreasing prices in bigger volume ....... There must be an institutional seller or short seller (unlikely) . I suppose given the weakness in global mining shares and the coal and oil price in particular we are faring quite well in HSP . The lower the price of the buy backs the more accretive for existing holders . | bench2
24/11/2014 09:16 | Only another 3 million more shares to buy-back (upto) Loong way to go yet.! | tanelorn |
