Hi @alotto, I suspect one reason is the pending demotion to the FTSE 250 - it's now official and actually takes effect on Monday 18 December. I'm thinking tracker funds will now be selling over the next 2 weeks in advance of 18 December?

If that's the case I'm aiming to buy for the longer term at various prices all the way down to 622p.

Many companies fall into the FTSE 250 and actually bounce back 3 months later - Abrdn (who own ii) are a good example of this recently.

why did JP Morgan lower the target price to just over £6? That's quite harsh considering the business made 300million pounds of net profits last year and considering the fat-ish dividend

So new Chair announced today - there had been talk that Deanna might not get enough votes at the AGM on 8 Dec, so they've avoided that potential embarrassment by hurrying things through!

ii, I like more plus 3.75% interest accrued daily paid monthly, great while you're waiting to trade something.

Stoopid do you work for HL.? I just think for the high fees they charge the platform should be first class.

Although I'm an HL shareholder I would admit that the ii platform is currently better, and more user friendly.

Well in the 7 years of Chris Hill’s tenure as CEO: Revenue has gone from £326.5m to £735.1m, up £408.6m, +123%%, Profits are up from £218.9m to £438.8m, up £219.9m, +100% and AUM is up from £61.7bn to £134bn, up £72.3bn +117%. I am not sure what more could be have been expected.

W has cast a long, dark, shadow. The seeds for W pre-dates Chris Hill.

Agree about Schwab being an option.

Not sure I can see that merger happening, HL do not need/want AJB. PE action could be a possibility, more likely for AJB. Still think Schwab could be interested in HL, if they ever had any ambition beyond home turf.

Need the Woodford Saga to be done and dusted so they can move on and also see what it will cost them. Also hanging over HL. is the costs/fees thing. I don't think HL are in the same boat or league as St James Place who got smashed over their exorbitant costs but AJ Bell and HL are both taking hits because of the forecasts of less profits and poor revenue growth...

Then again in the last 10 years profits are up massively and yet the share price & p/e are languishing. Demotion to Ftse 250 - not a great legacy Chris Hill !

Depends on reference point listed at £2.00 2008, 15 years now £7.00 so thats already 350%+, plus dividends say at least 4% pa, so looking at 400% at least. 4x in 15 years not too bad.

Lost 62pc of its value in 10 years, take into ac inflation….it’s probably lost nearer 90pc, why you have to buy quality US growth stocks and not shxtty U.K. dividend stocks.

Ugh, may well be sold off further as funds that are FTSE 100 trackers and hold HL. Sell it off...
