Looks encouraging. All three jobs are headed 'new vacancies' and the latest says 'Hardide is looking to strengthen its coating team ...', so suspect they are all new.

Some buys going through. wonder if this is because of the new recruits wanted. Perhaps there is going to be some up side. Bring on 9p.

oh.... if I only have the money (all mine is locked away until it gets back to 9p) . Think this share is going to be a treat. If they pull the recovery off and make more people aware of the potential of this product then it will boom imo.

I am hoping things are going to pick up. They are geting their fingers in a few pies now. There are a few tests going on at the moment. Lets hope some of these turn into big orders. These tests are not being done for one offs.

Are things picking up or have two people just left?

We know from previous post / reports, that the pre-treatment is critical to the success of the process.
Key appointments for the future of the company.

HARDIDE COATINGS SECURES AS9100 AEROSPACE QUALITY STANDARD CERTIFICATION

Hardide Coatings, which develops and applies tungsten carbide-based hard
coatings, has secured AS9100 Aerospace Quality Standard Certification for its UK manufacturing facility in Bicester, Oxfordshire and is now recognised as a
certified aerospace manufacturing supplier.

AS9100 demonstrates the presence of a robust and consistent aerospace quality
system. It includes and enhances the ISO9001 standard by focusing on the more
rigorous requirements of the aerospace industry. Many aerospace original
equipment manufacturers (OEMs) will only work with suppliers who are registered
to AS9100.

Graham Hine, Chief Executive Officer of Hardide plc said: "Hardide is
currently customer-approved for use in the production of BAE Systems'
Eurofighter Typhoon canopy and is midway through a three year coatings approval
test programme with Airbus. AS9100 certification widens our approval to an
internationally-recognised industry standard and will give us greater access to
top tier aerospace manufacturing companies.

Mudbath, 0.5 pence seems a great price to walk away with something from this company.

So is 0.5 pence a most satisfactory price at which to exit chrisgail??
HDD looks dead in the water to me;but then it has now for many many months.

How does a company that is making loss of over 1 Million per year and only has 1 million of cash remain valued at 4.4 Million?

I would think a reasonable valuation of 0.5 Million would be nearer the mark, giving a share price of 0.06p.

They might have reduced the loss but they are still making one, 9 months of cash left?

Good that they have reduced the loss in spite of the drop in revenue. With luck this could be the starting point for a recovery.

Hi, Roger.

They have made a statement about "Positive indications from key customers of a recovery of demand in 2010" which isn't worth a bean. I haven't looked at the numbers as yet.

I suppose the first indication of any real progress will be a shift in the share price.

Yes, but in both those years notice of the results was given in November. May not be significant.

In 2007 it was 17 Dec and in 2008 was 8 Dec. So not a cause for concern ... as yet.

Of course, some unscrupulous companies have been known to issue results on 24 Dec - I'd hate to think HDD was anything like that.

But it's a sufficiently leaky company to suggest that nothing exceptional will be announced. (Year end 30 Sept.)

I see from Hardide's web-site that Dan Wilson - Business Development Manager - USA & Canada has gone (Key People list). They no longer make reference to UK and USA job titles anymore, does this mean that they have withdrawn from the US market?

It seems the decline continues.

The trouble is that, so far, Hardide has not been able to obtain orders for product in sufficient volumes for it to turn a profit and stop consuming cash. Until it has such orders, it remains highly speculative.

irritating how wot other companies would normally regard as earth shattering RNSs, HDD likes to stick it in their in house news and tell no-one about it. some chunky buys gone through today tho'...
