21/6/2013 08:37 | Today's RNS removes a significant uncertainty for the company and should have a positive effect on the share price over time. However, a careful reading of the first paragraph (below) does raise a continuing uncertainty which seems to have been glossed over by the statement: "Hansard Global plc ("Hansard" or "The Group"), the specialist long-term savings provider, today confirmed that, through a court mediation process, Hansard Europe Limited has agreed a settlement of 1.5 million in relation to an underlying claim of approximately 5.5m in Norway. This settlement, without any admission of liability, encompassed 47 of the 48 policyholders that have initiated litigation totalling 7.2m in Norway." So, there is one remaining policyholder who has NOT settled and it would seem, by a simple arithmetical subtraction, that that remaining policyholder has a claim for 1.7m (ie more than the total settlement for all the other 47). On top of that, there will also be substantial further legal fees to settle/fight this outstanding claim. | grahamburn
15/6/2013 13:57 | My trade is technical DVI not fundamental, I know that the trackers will all head through the same door at the end of the week so will sell into strenth. I also have GAW, PRV, and GLE that will be going the same way, but not all the GLE as it is a core holding, its that is has risen by 110p since March and I had a decent unit then!! | exbroker
11/6/2013 22:35 | Interesting exBroker, are you thinking a trade to 150p or more of a long term holder? As you know, I filled my boots lower down but not been buying recently. Perhaps I should! | deepvalueinvestor
11/6/2013 21:41 | Bought another 50 today to help out those nice index funds next week!!! | exbroker
06/6/2013 19:10 | Good spot exBroker. For those of us who are bearish about markets but like HSD, it is good to see stability on a day like today. | deepvalueinvestor

21/5/2013 15:32 | Yes I don't understand why it is less than £2; maybe it will not be for much longer. | this_is_me
20/5/2013 19:54 | I never understood the fall in price, just seems to be throwing off cash and strategy seems to be paying off. Still very substantially undervalued IMO. | paul_butcher1999
10/5/2013 14:09 | It's one of my big ones across most accounts so this makes up for a more defensive strategy generally. | deepvalueinvestor
10/5/2013 11:27 | Yes, got a pile at 92p last November, even better they are in my ISA. | this_is_me
10/5/2013 09:00 | Wishing I'd picked up a few more of these at around a quid! I hope some of you all managed to :) | gargoyle2
09/5/2013 17:22 | Don't need to post the chart now. The breakout is obvious in the header. Great figures today. Lack of posts suggests we might rise a bit more if if they bring any exposure. | aleman
09/5/2013 07:55 | Happy days! Great news today! | this_is_me
09/5/2013 07:54 | Interim Management Statement -- New business sales are ahead of the comparative period on all metrics reported by the Group, despite reduced new business flows in the early part of this financial year; -- Growth of regular premium new business flows continues. On the basis of Present Value of New Business Premiums ("PVNBP"), regular premiums of GBP55.8m in the quarter (Q2 2013: GBP44.3m) have been earned primarily from the growth markets of the Far East; | fangorn2
08/5/2013 14:51 | Think the downtrend has broken, although I'm not sure. I'll have a play with the chart later. | aleman
07/5/2013 14:54 | I hope not!! | this_is_me
07/5/2013 14:51 | Tried to pick up a large-ish order (15k shares) while the buy was at 105 today, but it immediately went to 107. Doubt I'll get that chance again! | gargoyle2
07/5/2013 14:37 | Management statement on Thursday could have something to do with it. | this_is_me
07/5/2013 13:49 | Interesting looking chart now as it gets tight between a recent uptrend and the longer term downtrend. | aleman
03/5/2013 16:18 | Only offering lots of 1000 electronically now, which might suggest that the seller has left the building. | hezza123
02/5/2013 16:39 | Nice to see a spate of chunky buys here this afternoon. Onwards and upwards hopefully! | hezza123
25/4/2013 23:31 | I agree Aleman | deepvalueinvestor
25/4/2013 14:19 | That 603k sell probably explains the recent weakness when other yield shares have been rising. Might be a nice opportunity to top-up. | aleman |
