I had to have an almighty row and put in a complaint last time to get EQI to take up the scrip. I've already contacted them this time to try and avoid the debacle. I suggest if anyone else is with them, they make contact immediately.

2p equivalent scrip divi (as shares)
0.2p cash divi

if my memory is correct

someone posted that most brokers will automatically give/process you the scrip divi since it is so much more than the cash divi (x10)

but if it was me I would contact my broker to make/be sure

Seems to be not much change in the shorts -Capeview closed their position and Point72 opened one. Anyone got any opinions? MS sold a bit at the higher price but not once it's lower it would seem, so maybe they'll hold for a while now. I guess we'll see. Quite a lot of volume today anyway

You could move your position to HL, Halifax etc then unless you are leveraging in which case that is unfortunately the price you pay

This is to alert anyone holding HMSO shares in an IG.com Dealing account.

Basically, IG.com do not pay the Hammerson enhanced scrip dividend. They are probably the only major share dealing company that so this. If you hold shares with Hammerson in a dealing account on IG on 1 April 2021, you will not receive the enhanced scrip dividend. Last time it meant receiving a cash dividend of 2p rather than shares valued at 20p, a huge difference.

They have some cash I believe and more to come from French asset sale ;-)

Good luck with your entry price, yes mcap is in the billions

From what I can make out that's the MS position yesterday, not some time before. But they reached the reporting threshold earlier?

I've just noticed that MS are notifying the market 3-5 days after their trades. I had just assumed it was the previous day that the threshold had been reached. Now I need to re-think what they are doing.

Even more interesting that it's the famed Steve Cohen on the short side; he's not afraid of the short squeeze crowd it appears.

The short data differs slightly on two different websites, so i also question the data. Research tree has it at 5.7% and includes the new position declared today but does not include an old position from maverick capital.

The declaration of a new short position is very surprising as todays price action tends to suggest the opposite. I guess that the picture will become clearer in time.

96 million shares traded today

out of 4,000 million shares

about 1 in 40 shares
~2.5%

that is massive !!

coupled with 13% price rise, & big rise yesterday
33p to 42p
more to come imo

it was just underpriced imo, so buyers are rushing in after reading the results

anyone that thinks shorters are adding to shorts

imo they must be mad

high volume & the share price has rocketted from 33p to ~42p in 2 days.
That is not due to "selling" shares !
More likely to partly be due to shorters buying, to close/reduce their positions ....since they are losing a lot of money very quickly !

Where do you get that they've increased? I just see a gradual decrease on the sites I've seen.
researchcentre123

btw

it looks like the reqt. is to report short positions above 0.5%

ref. FCA website

is that ~8 million pounds in shares

perhaps 99% of the shares shorted are held by ppl with <0.5%

& hence are not reported to the system.

-----

from data for short positions of >0.5% I doubt that there is visibility of the true short situation, since many short positions will be < 0.5% & hence are not reported.

where does anyone get info to deduce that shorters have sold more ?

shorttracker website, the data seems to be from January & February

all way out of date

how do you use that data for ..."today" !!??

(& if they are supposed to report any change but haven't, let's recall that this is the London mkt
famous for pretty useless regulators

if they should report & don't, the London mkt doesn't really care, they won't get fined !!

So shorts have increased. Is that good or bad for those who are long taking into considerations the stocks jumped 13% today.
