there's a Windows CD you can get for free,
which may help eliminate the virus

A BLAST FROM THE PAST...? : But with status code -1073741819
My computer seems to have acquired the Blaster Virus.

Message: similar to the Blaster virus / Is it "Sasser"??
.

But has a different Status Code...
SYMPTOMS
After you install Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 (SP2) on a Windows 2000-based domain controller, you may receive the following error message:

The system process lsass.exe terminated unexpectedly with status code -1073741819. The system will now shut down and restart.
This error message occurs after every subsequent reboot, usually within 15 minutes of the reboot.

What You Should Know About the Blaster Worm

Get this information in additional languages

The Blaster worm (W32.Blaster.A and its variants) exploits a security issue related to the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) function that was addressed by the security update released on July 16 in conjunction with Security Bulletin MS03-026. Microsoft recommends that customers install the update from Security Bulletin MS03-039 to help protect against this issue.

There is a new bug on trades screen - pull up trades screen for FKI and move forward a page - the problem is in the totals and I think is to do with late reported trades.

In the FKI example, there is over 5m late reported so you should find it quite easily - the totals on the 1st page are less than 2m.

Dear All,

We had a minor DB issue this morning, I've actioned a fix upon the infected area, but will look to this thread for some feedback.

I can only apologise for the inconvenience caused to your BB usage, but will be staying close to the systems throughout the course of the day in order to monitor it's recovery/progress.

Regards,

James

Just logged on to find that on every thread I've ever read, the read-up-to-this-point marker has been reset so that message #1 is the first unread to me.

All of them show, eg 321 messages, 321 unread.

How can I put this? Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!

This bug is fun.

Now, if only chivers could reset the LSE to year 2000, and let us trade it all over again we'd all be very happy groundhogs.

Nostalgia aint what it used to be.
