Yes they are all skins on the PartyPoker platform, I know that but people are predominantly playing on that platform through BetMGM and Borgata, most aren’t going direct to PartyPokerNJ.com to play, webtraffic stats back that up. People are playing on the platform because of the BetMGM and Borgata brands, not because of an affinity to the PartyPoker brand, which was the point I initially made. I used to speak to Jim Ryan when he was co-CEO at BPTY, and even then he admitted that unprompted recognition of the PartyPoker brand was somewhat behind Stars and Full Tilt. I said PartyPoker’s brand awareness fell away, the quality of the tech platform didn’t.

You say "brand awareness fell massively" yet we are now head to head with Pokerstars and running the major tournaments.

BetMGM Poker, Borgata Poker and Partypoker are 3 skins ALL on the Partypoker platform.

So 1 month and most of that is through BetMGM and Borgata.com rather than PartyPoker directly. They’re 2/3rd out of 3 in NJ. Poker is tiny overall anyway and ex-growth.

They were #1 as you say until 2006, but that was 14 years ago, brand awareness fell massively as PokerStars and Full Tilt continued operating in the US for another 5 years.

Partypoker was the pioneer of poker in the USA and the #1 until the market was shut down in 2006.

Today they are giving Pokerstars a run for their money in NJ (link below) and will be launching in further states including Pennsylvania.

Poker is legal in 4 states (Delaware, Nevada, New Jersey and Pennsylvania), PartyPoker is only present in 1 of those states. Delaware’s casinos all use 888 poker, Nevada is dominated by WSOP which is owned by Caesars, PokerStars is the only operator in Pennsylvania, in Nevada Borgata uses 4 brands, PartyPoker, Borgata, BetMGM and Pala Poker, then Caesars uses WSOP and 888, and Resorts uses PokerStars. The last data I saw for NJ had Caesars with 59% share of Poker so not sure how PartyPoker can be neck and neck with PokerStars.

Poker is legal in 4 US states so far, could be 5 this year if Michigan joins.

Partpoker is a top brand in #2 spot, neck and neck with Pokerstars. The World Poker Tour was with PP this year.

But poker is still illegal in all but 1 or 2 states and they use the Borgata brand where they do offer poker rather than Party. I’d say that PokerStars and Full Tilt have more name recognition than PartyPoker now.

Yes agree, thank you.

We must always remember when partygaming were in the US
before the 2007 ports act was introduced they had 50%
of the US market, I have read somewhere.

So with us owning prty now, plenty to play for as lots
of US onliners will remember prty as they probably
had an account. And prty were worth five billion pounds then.

The CEO of BetMGM is presenting at Jeffries sports betting forum. He has said that they are over 20% share in Colorado and they took more bests in Tennessee in November than they did in New Jersey. He thinks that there is a fair chance that Texas could regulate online sports betting in 2021.
