Utterly amazed at the market's "non-reaction".

I cannot see ""an issue that was subsequently resolved by GVC, but not historically." anywhere in the RNS

Until they categorically say that the 2010-11 period is the only one affected , there is a risk that it is not.

Not withstanding that an opportunist and desperate Greek govt. seeing their initial cash flow success may well just try it on with future years.

Can't see the UT trade at 8.05, nothing showing on the trades list around that time and the total number traded today doesn't indicate 2.6 million have gone through as a single trade.

Like others, I am surprised but pleased that the market reaction has not been worse, especially with all those shorters just waiting to make a killing.

Well the market never ever ceases to surprise me....I was expecting armageddon this morning! It dropped to 890 odd last week on comparatively trivial news!! Go figure!

Anybody know quite how meaningful Greece is in revenue terms?

Like many countries in the EU the Greeks are extortionists.
EU policy to Greece only serves to make them worse.

911 lol still in the game. Was expecting big gap down. Initial reaction seems to be the market doesn't buy the worse case scenario

My g stop is 873 and am expected to be closed. Not taking the risk of trying to be clever here

Sounds rather a ridiculous inflated figure to me, dyor.

This is a one off hit to 2017 profits, future profits are unaffected. Buy on any weakness.

Feeling lucky here. Thanks to VRS I've been selling down here over the last 2 months. That includes another 3000 shares yesterday. I now only hold around about15 percent of my GVC.

Check with Investor Relations, and read the detail of the RNS.It's bad, and will rock the share price, probably causing a cascade fall for the first hour. Then I'll look to BUY!

Festy,

I was unaware that it was "an issue that was subsequently resolved by GVC, but not historically." It's a pity GVC's statement wasn't a lot clearer in that respect!

I agree with that Festario,

look at this para

''During the Period the business was owned by Sportingbet plc, prior to its acquisition by GVC in 2013. The total amount of the Assessment is EUR186.77m, substantially higher by multiples of the total Greek revenues generated by the subsidiary during the Period.''

That's nonsense. Something is owed probably, but there is no way it can be the quoted figure imo.
