24/9/2017 12:53 | Many thanks | noujay

24/9/2017 08:26 | Anybody have the link/copy please for interest? Many thanks | noujay
24/9/2017 03:33 | A better deal would be 888. | garycook
24/9/2017 01:25 | Nice write up in The times saying GVC is eyeing up another bid maybe Ladbrokes again. | saj3
22/9/2017 21:37 | Looks like this is mopping up a legacy bwin scheme along with the potential for new options. You may be right fest but I don't think we will be seeing an 11m trade appearing on Monday that's going to take the legs out from under this.If I'm wrong stand on me!! GLA | noujay
22/9/2017 15:57 | Market seems to be taking the 11m shares in its stride. BTW I'm delighted that KA has stuck around and if he is getting a chunk of these new shares thats great as it means he is still adding value to GVC, not doing a turnaround job at Hills for example. | brownie69
22/9/2017 15:37 | ... or the 11m new shares are being forward sold into the market, and we 'could' drop 3 or 4% on Monday. | festario
22/9/2017 15:34 | Yes..last week's interims, management commentary and broker revisions..I am firmly of the opinion that it sometimes takes a couple of weeks for news to fully filter through so at the moment not surprised it's moving well. | noujay
22/9/2017 15:19 | Well, rather than a track back to 800p as some have suggested will happen ex dividend, we appear to be going in the opposite direction. Anyone seen any news that might be pushing this up, especially from the US, as the rise has taken place since the US markets opened? | mylands
22/9/2017 13:38 | Agree fest it is more dilution but then it's incentivising management as well. If Kenny wants some more options then he's clearly of the view there's more to come! | noujay
22/9/2017 12:57 | Add back the div of 14.6p and we are now back at the high reached on Wednesday before it went ex. | mylands
22/9/2017 12:54 | For me, all the good news is out for the time being, divi on the way. Company is investing heavily, but that affects the bottom line while the top looks good. I'm still bullish on the long term prospects, but I'm out for the time being waiting a pullback towards £8. Possibly waiting after the autumn budget, depending on the legislation posed there. Only time will tell. GLA. | diviincomesearch
22/9/2017 12:45 | 3.5% more dilution. | festario
22/9/2017 08:41 | Woodhawk For what it's worth I don't think it's ludicrous to suggest that MW, who have been reducing their position by 0.1% steps since July, are obviously of the opinion that the share price is on a rising trend and costing them more and more the longer they hold their short position. Someone posted why not get rid of their whole holding in one go. My answer to that is they hold approzximately 1% of the company, nigh on 3 million shares and to exit totally they have to buy about two/three times the normal daily trade in the shares. Imagine what that would do to the price! | mylands
22/9/2017 02:08 | They didn't think it would rise so hardly experts we should be paying attention to. | deanowls
21/9/2017 23:09 | Marshall Wace are just as fallible as any other party. Claiming they "obviously" don't think the share price will fall because they have reduced their short by 0.1% is pretty ludicrous, mylands. | woodhawk
21/9/2017 22:36 | Why did they only reduce. Why not close if don't thing going to fall? I hedged my bets and sold a portion after having got overweight when bought more in 740s. My guess is 8 gets tested, but won't mind if not. Gla | mnomis
21/9/2017 19:47 | Marshall Wace obviously don't think this is going to fall as they have again reduced their short position on Sept 18th by a further 0.1% to 0.88%. Pleased the forex rate has been set, and at a good rate too. | mylands
21/9/2017 16:38 | Noujay. I'm sure you're right. However, in the short term my money is on a pullback towards the 800p area. Both previous pullbacks I refer to occurred after similarly strong results. It is entirely normal. I may be completely wrong in this instance, and if so I may miss out on a further rise, but you pays your money and takes your chances. Or not. Fascinating stuff anyhow. | woodhawk
21/9/2017 16:10 | m,w and n I agree with you all, what a good thread this is, balanced posters that take all views on board, well done all. My view is irrelevant, as I just hold and increase. | srpactive
21/9/2017 16:02 | Woodhawk - of course historicals are useful I agree but the integration is going great, the margins are thicker and despite the absence of a major tournament this summer the numbers are overall better. Football marketing has just kicked in and they say September already looks good. Hugely bullish management commentary on current trading with the aim of doubling earnings over four years without considering any add-ons along the way. Back on the dividend list and it wouldn't be a surprise to see some specials as we go unless he takes another a swing at ladbrokes. The cash is being generated to do it and the policy is clear.Shorts reducing of late. There's another update shortly which almost certainly will be positive as well, so I just wonder how many fancy sitting this one out when the estimates all seem to start with a 9.Of course it can go both ways and often does but for me this one feels like it's on a great path and even regulatory headwinds are dispersed by its diversified earnings base.Look I'm sitting in the sun today and maybe I've had too much of it, but this feels as if we are in a strong moment.GLA apologies for the long post. | noujay
21/9/2017 13:59 | Noujay, if you refer back to the past two sets of results you will see that the pullback is somewhere in the region of 6-7%. Of course this time, it *might* be different? | woodhawk
21/9/2017 13:46 | Guys, my take on this fall is that all it has done is track back to midway where the price was before yesterday first thing at 849 and the end at 859p. Take off the15p and hey presto you are at 842p. It's now onwards and upwards. Buy now if you are thinking of reinvesting your div | mylands
21/9/2017 13:32 | The dividend was nice but not spectacular so not much of a dip there. The performance however is spectacular with more reporting to come, so hard to say how much drift there is likely to be | noujay |
