I'm here since Party Gaming days. My break even is £10.80 not allowing for any additional return. £12 is a small profit, £20 would be great. Will have to wait for that figure. Good luck to all.

Don't forget about Verizon (owner of Yahoo). They are testing the water with sports betting and have the affiliate deal with BetMGM. They should definitely be looking at acquisitions.

I agree.

I'm monitoring the US and the GVC/MGM pirahna is nibbling more market share every day. Outside of the US we are continuing to take market share in all key territories. Then there are new territories still to pursue.

Its a story of continued growth of 10%+ per annum and we are cheap!

...that's why I think selling out for 10-12 would be a mistake...

Fair enough but I'm a bit more ambitious than that. GVC has always been lower rated than rivals - a correction to that would take the share price above 12. I also think that the US business could be worth at least 5 to GVC in a few years - then there is the rest of the world.Add them up. I'm thinking 20 in 5 years. If it all goes to plan etc etc. IHMO

12 would be nice. If it takes a few years and the US takes off the number will hopefully somewhat higher. Time will tell.

Interesting. So you guys are hoping for a GVC buyout - given usual premiums to current share price you are looking at around £10-£10.50. Would you all be happy with that?

The good news is that both Amazon & Google have the funds. Apple have even more money but not as good a fit. Not forgetting Private Equity.

Google Alphabet have very deep pockets. Their loose change could buy both business. Just thinking, someone posted a couple of years ago that GVC is really an IT company now, it could work for Google.

Ah, I guess one company could buy both.

However, MGM has a market cap of 11.2 billion so it would have to be someone with very deep pockets to afford that when you add in GVC at a mere fraction of that.

I can see it 10 years them having similar market caps though and then full merger in 10 years

No, quite true.

The Barclays article was a tactic to lower the price, they
should be ashamed of themselves. The only way the ftse can get
some realmovement is if we can get some large technology companies
on it instead of just old school businesses from yester year.
GVC is one that could help.

To be fair, Barclays upgraded Flutter to BUY in the same note and that’s down 2.6% today so a weak day for the sector.

Barclays are William Hill’s house broker so they’re paid to have a positive opinion on the shares.
